Hey everyone, i'm pretty sure the question im asking is acceptable thread material, but if it isn't, i apologize in advance.

I am considering growing a small field of poppies this year, and wondered where to get seeds, what type of poppie is needed, and how much care the plants need. Any knowledge relating to poppie plant growth held by anyone would be appreciated.

I got my seeds from a friend and I've seen them on the internet. Occasionally I see them in packets around but not the really beautiful ones. You can get some really pretty ones on the internet. I just did a search and found many. Since I'm licensed the police have been over a couple times and when the flowers were in late bloom they did look to see if any effort had been made to grow them for anything other than the flowers-which they didn't find because the only reason I grow them is for the flowers.

No, just had some issues going on at the time. I did have several people make sure I knew what I was growing-the neighbor, gardener, etc.

right now Im currently growing papaver somniforum (poppies)hydroponically. Already over 1 ft. tall and have just moved to flowering photoperiod, which is the opposite of cannabis. 18/6 is flowering/12/12is veg.
what else did ya what to know?

i have the whole hydro set-up, and some seeds i bought in a "Sacred Seeds" store about two years ago, the only thing is what type of fluorecent lights should i use?? how many lumens..?

poppies are legal to grow arent they? i dont see how they wouldnt be with all the poppy seed product on teh market.

theres some guy on ebay that sells seeds/bulbs or whatever. ive always wanted to grow them, but you know. i dont know shit about it.

what do you mean some guy on ebay....... that's the most usless answer i could have gotten, i just want to know how much light the growing poppies need in an indoor grow, what temperature range is best? how many watts/lumens?

why dont you search ebay for someone selling poppies. all the info needed to cultivate them is on his site.
