Alrighty...not long to go now.

Ichigo taste test in the next few days.

Red Gauntlet: Still only producing runners at the moment. And some yellowing/diseased looking leaves. My least favourite so far but these are just a commercial variety, so no big loss.

Tioga: Producing fruit like mad, small and veeeery sweet. Only producing runners now and then.

Sweetest: Same as Tioaga but not as sweet in my opinion. Still very nice.

Ichigo: Producing fruit like mad with no runners at all. Fruit has been the longest to ripen, will have a good harvest within the next week I expect. Supposedly these are like no other strawberry on earth...cant wait.

Japanese Ichigo:

I noticed a few bugs flying around the Red Gauntlet. Look like Fungus Gnats. Just a couple at the moment but I will keep an eye on things. Other than that I have had no pest problems at all. I have noticed a few ladybirds and small native wasps hanging around the Spring Onion and Garlic Chives so maybe they are keeping the bad bugs in check...I really dont want to use any pesticides here. Looks like it was a good idea to add these.
