So there I am floating down the river on my tube and wouldn't you know a rooting bulb from some tropical plant floats into my lap. It's leafy with a big brown bulb at the bottom and a white base, almost like a potatoe.. maybe where it broke off? Anyway it looks like it's starting to root. I carried it home but the main leaf didn't seem to like the hot car much and it wilted before I could get it into water. It doesn't look like an underwater plant but it does look like it enjoys moisture. I've planted it in Oceans Forest, we'll see what happens. Kinda cool story though.. made me feel like maybe nature wants me to help the plants out. Float to the gardener with the 'spensive soil mixes... hehe Any initial advice appreciated.. I'll get a pic soon. Last edited by MrHydro; 08-20-2007 at 01:58 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here's a pic.. As you can see the one leaf got shriveled and the tip of the other shoot was a little dry but it's definitely stabalized. Not sure how this plant grows though, I think the shoots break open.. Any ideas?
