Does anyone know what NPK ratio i should be going for? The plants will be vegging/flowering at the same time so i dont really know. Currently my nutes are 7-9-5. I have some Pure Blend Bloom .5-.5-1 would something like that be better?

What about molasses? I read that it has a lot of K in it. Do people really put that stuff in their res? I'd be afraid of something nasty growing or it messing up my pump.

Sorry no pics, i still have no batteries.

Day 20.

So i finally get batteries, and now my camera keeps giving me "Lens Error." Go Figure.

I did a res change and while i was draining the buckets i noticed a lot of sediment in the bottom of my buckets. Not sure if that came from my well water or if it is some precipitate, either way it cant be good right? I'm going to flush the plants for a few days, I think they've got too much N.

dude, i have to praise you, excellent choice to grow tomatos in the mean time, and sharpen your skills till the day you can grow, last year i was growing hydro basil, and lettuce for the exact same reason.

i believe there are some books on growing hydro veggies , i always buy all my books on amazon, as they have every book on there, barnes and noble ususaly dont stock hydro veggie books, hope this helps any, as one of the books i picked up had alot of info/ ph / ppm chart in there. good luck

A+++++++ in my book as any growing is fun, and great way to start the ganja career

Ph 5.6 ppm 950

Didnt get any books yet, still thinking about it.

Plants are getting really big. The roots have just about filled up the 5 gallon buckets. I now have a fear of them clogging the drains, and water pumping out all over the floor. Luckily i have a drain in the floor though, which is great. Two of the plants are so big im having a hard time picking them up to check the drains.

They drink about 2-3 gallons of water every day, having a hard time keeping up with them. I've never grown anything this big before.

Tons of blossoms now, still no tomato though. When a blossom is pollinated what exactly happens? Do the petals die back and then the tomato appears? Does the tomato suddenly appear? I heard that the blossoms will fall off if not pollinated, this is not happening to me though so that is a plus.

Tomorrow i will be changing the spacing of the plants, which should be a pain.

They are looking too dark green to me, and some leaves are rolling in.

They look like that, which is why i put my ph to 5.6 hoping to get some more copper available.

Tried to see what i could do with spacing the plants out......jesus.

It is a giant twisted mess of plants, so i gave up. Just going to let them do what the want and hope for the best.

Should have trained them a long time ago, that was dumb.
