Hey alleycat,
Love your post's, hope all is well. My pineapple is still with me. I'm just shooting off the hip on this grow as well.................
A client of mine gave me my pineapple. He really schooled me on a pineapple in the short time we talked. He must have had 2- Dozen or more of them. Insisted I take one.
Of course i got to wach it flower and grow, wow what a plant............

I'm going to attach an updated pic of mine as well as a younger shot of flowering.

I'm going to give him a shout and stop back in for some more info........
Old geezer has a greener thumb than I could ever wish for.........

He's a good old stick though. I will share as I get more info.

Be safe Alleycat and grow on friend..............

I took a shot of mine this morning as well.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I think I'm gonna save mine for the grill.........
Nothing better than a little grilled pineapple, with that 1" slice of Balogna frying up next to her.....
PS the "Stanleys" dont lie, I think I've got you by a couple inches......

Be safe and grow on................

seedsplitter59--Wow does yours look huge compared to mine. Did yours look like mine earlier on?? Mine has the look of being done, but just doesn't have any size to it yet, well barely. I was re-arranging my room though, and accidentially pulled it from the soil. It hasn't stopped growing, but just seems to of not kept progressing. It was to this stage before I moved it around though. Also once I harvest it, is the plant done then?? I still haven't done any reading on them if you can't tell.

When flower initiation occurs, ripe fruit is harvested six to eight months later. If flowering is initiated by chemical forcing at other times of the year, the period may be shorter or longer. Fruit is harvested by bending it over and twisting to remove it from the stalk.

Ok found this so far and is enough to let me go awhile longer, damn 6-8 months of flowering, and it said 15-20 months before they go thru that. I'm gonna have to start some more to get them going on the 15-20 months first for the next ones. Have the other one in the middle of that time frame, so have the next after this ready, but now having to think about the one after that already I gues.

Here's one good link I found from west africa on them. I have to find the ones without the spines now too, damn those things hurt.

OTAL - Pineapples

Happy Growing

PS mine is kind pineapple from some really good previous stuff I got.
