Has anyone tried them under 12/12? The reason I ask is because I have more room in my flower chamber than my veg.

Hi analog, just got my seeds, I will be growing Cisneros tomatillos, Verde Puebla tomatillos, Mexico, LaRoma II VFFNA Hybrid, Burgess Stuffing and Sprite tomatos. Mexico is supposed to grow on really large vines, good if you happen to accidentally tuck some MJ plants in among them.

I grow mine (to start) under T5s using 18/6 then I move them to my HPS (Still 18/6) and get amazing results. I do this year round. I can get better results inside than I can outside.

MG organic soil with no ferts, for the first month. After the first month I go to FF 3-part solution with every 3rd feeding being GH floro series. I'm not sure why I throw in the GH; I just do.

Tomatoes are similar to , and 12/12 will cause them to flower. However, I don't know what will happen if you later move the tomatoes to a longer light cycle...will they continue to flower or go back to veg growth?

peace,

Tomatoes are day-neutral and will flower and produce fruit whenever they get big enough, regardless of the photoperiod. They need a lot of light and the longer the daylength, the more productive they will be. The exception is that continuous light (24/0) inhibits fruit set.

I don't grow them indoors but I grow several cultivars outdoors every year. This year I am growing Black Krim, San Marzano, Sweet 100, and Yellow Pear. Sweet Marzano is an indeterminate Roma-type heirloom, very productive and requires industrial-strength trelliswork. Black Krim is an indeterminate beefsteak type from Russia that tolerates the cold well and continues to produce very late in the season, but it is prone to splitting if soil moisture management is not perfect.
