i have a small catnip plant about 4-5 inches tall doing well for the most part but recently i have notice that the edges on about 3/4 of the leaves are turning yellow than shortly following that turning brown, does anyone know what is causing this i have used VERY little nutrients since it is still young, just a few sprays of a very diluted 24-8-16 miracle grow solution, it has had plenty of water from the beginning and i have not over watered it as far as i can tell

chadwick--Wow at that small and it already happening is kind of strange. Catnip doesn't take much for nutrients at all, but it sounds like it's eating itself with yellowing and then browning. I don't foliar feed my catnip, so that might be the cause too. I'd suggest a light nutrient dose into the soil, and stick with straight water for foliar feeding for the few next days and see if it corrects itself. Happy Growing Alleycat | ||

![]() | the plant is doing good now, i flushed the soil and then added some more light nutrients and its doing great, i just transplanted it into a bigger pot which will be its permanent pot but i notice some very light brown spots on a few leaves, the spots are kind of clustered but theirs only 10-15 spots on the worst leave i think it could be nutrient burn since i have checked it for bugs, but other than that its doing great my friends cat should be happy ![]()

![]() | quick question again, the older larger leaves are starting to get a purplish-red tint to them, its starting at the tips and moving in, i know my plant itself is fairly purple since all the stems are either a fairly dark royal purple, i didn't know that true catnip had a tendency to turn purple and it hasn't been very cold at all so i'm not sure why its turning purple, still seems fairly healthy i just wanted to make sure nothing is wrong
