tom--For mine I just bought a pineapple, cut off the top and put it in a bowl of water for a week, and then planted it into the soil. Don't know if there is a correct way, but that way has worked for me for 3 of them now.

Growing Bromeliads - Starting A Pineapple Plant

im fixing to start one today, girlfriend brought me a nice ripe pineapple, and my first thought(must be from hangin round on here, or bein in the garden too much) was to try and get it to grow...haha..

Tenmiletom,
Just cut the top off of it.
I/E THe green sharp leafs on top and 1/2 to 3/4" of the top of the fruit itself.
Set it in some soil, dont overwater, and let it root..............

Hope that get U there........
