Venus Fly Traps and Pitcher Plants

Who's grown em? can you get them and keep them in something a little higher brow than the 99 cent store plastic container? can you give me a quick rundown of the basics? I know they need R/O water and can do ok in the sun or flouro lights. Any other basic specs?

Hidyn is growing every day.Hidyn is growing every day.

I was just about to order them, but thought I'd look here too.

If you get yours first, let us know! I intend to keep mine in an aquarium set up I have, for classiness more than anything.

I've had both and not done so well but I know others who have no problems.
I tried to create a bog environment in my potting shed and the plants didn't
take to it so well. Ferns volunteered and that's what's growing there now.

I kept pitcher plants for a few years in pots and then I think I let it dry out too much.
They like wetlands, swampy warm humid areas.

I went to the carnivore nursery (prolly where you want to order plants) one time cuz I
was in the area. The place was really a pretty dank environment.

I'm not sure about light requirements, maybe my "bog" was too shady.

Peace- OD
