Tomatoes

We're in the middle of our first grow and our first experience with hydroponics. Considering our experience level, the grow is spectacular. We've made a few mistakes but nothing we haven't been able to fix so far.

I have, however, managed to kill two tomato plants (soil) and I haven't been able to get past early seedling stage with basil, mint, and sage! The real irony is that I don't even use the ! Don't worry I'm not selling...the grow is for my boyfriend.

So now we have a hydroponic set up for a tomato plant...double bucket bubbler system with hydroton. Which brings me to my questions. I purchased a 6 inch tomato plant today and put it in the hydroton. I mixed up a 1/2 strenth nutrient solution using the same nutes and pH I used for growing our .

Will the same nutes and pH work? Will tomatoes bloom under 24/7 lights?
