![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'm loving my morning glories. i have a dining room that gets lots of light during the day. i was wondering if i could cut my morning glories about 6inches from the container(because they are so entangled)that's outside and bring it inside for the winter? if i cut the vine would it continue to grow or would it just shrivel up and die? does anyone have any advice for my silly idea? thanks in advance! ![]()

They may not flower in the winter but they will easily grow with a lot of light. Be careful about bringing unwanted insect pests indoors. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thank you...so its okay if i cut them down to about 6" in the containers. they are really tangled on a trellis thats not coming out of the ground. i wonder if i left the dining room light on for most of the evening, if it would help them to flower....hmmmm...guess i'll try it! yeah smoke another one............![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Most plants need a dormant period. it would be helpful to let them rest inside and not try to flower them.... less water and much less food for the winter. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes it would be OK to cut them down to 6". That's what happens to them in the winter. They'll be back up in no time. The more natural light you can provide the better. I grew mine in a west facing window. I had them in a window box growing up strings that I had attached to the header above the window sill. Pink and blue. They were pretty. ![]()
