flowerchildren at heart  the poppies are growing well this year. at least something is!     sleep my little pretties....sleeeeeeeeep! (witchly cackles) | ||

| This week brings a little more color to the yard. Crepe myrtles are blooming around here now. We have several scattered around.  This is a new addition to the garden. It's called Acidanthera (Solomon's Sword). I planted 15 bulbs this spring and 13 came up. No fragrance.   | ||

| Hey buzz ... the Acidanthera (Solomon's Sword) plants; I have also heard them called Peacock Lillies. I planted a bunch of them years ago; they bloomed one year and then never did again. They do produce "leaves" similar to a gladiolus, but no flowers. Not sure why. Like your photos ... no crepe myrtles yet, but we do have buds on the bushes. Happy Gardening!! Nelson
