![]() ![]() | I just give my kids a couple of old tennis rackets and let them wack em outta the air ,I do not like to kill anything but they have destroyed one of my barns and im tired of letting them get away with it.I filled all the holes I could find with liquid nails and they ate right through it! Carpenter bees are pains in the ass.I hope you find a solution(if not you can borrow my kids)Good luck ![]()

![]() | solution: squirt gasoline into their holes.. light it. you destroyed their home and yours, now rebuild your house with steel. lol jk! but hitting them with tennis/badminton racquets is fun and economically friendly compared to poisoning. I still feel bad for them when i do it, and hope they don't decide to start exacting their revenge on humans. they do have stingers, but they've never used them on me. what i do know that will kill anything (horseflies, cockroaches, etc.) is cigarette smoke. the only problem with that is you would need ALOT of tobacco, i've only tested the evilness of tobacco in small, sealed containers. I was in oklahoma and there was an overwhelming roach population. I actually saw the roach coughing before it died. later i got so blazed that this big roach was talking to me in the bathroom. that was trippy, but he talked too low for me to hear clearly. there are alot of those bees and some things like yellowjackets, wasps, etc. in my field eating a pile of old wood. I can't wait to set that shit ablaze and kill all the evil ones. i think i got the "boring bee" population under control here though. It just took a couple days going around with the tennis racquet. i know there are still some around, because just a few days ago i was sitting outside and sawdust was falling on my head, and i looked up and there were some shallow fresh holes in my porch. i will work on a giant polyploid, topsy-turvy venus bee-trap, as soon as i get my colchicine.

If you want to get rid of carpenter bees without using insecticide you may want to try plugging the entrances with caulk or putty. Now you’re thinking, “but won’t they try to burrow their way out?” The answer is no. For whatever reason, carpenter bees will not try to get out of the nest if they’re trapped inside. So, a lot of people simply caulk or putty the entrances to the carpenter bee galleries and then paint over them. It’ll save you money and time. Once you have killed the bees, make sure you keep them away by replacing the wood or covering the damage with putty. If the bees haven’t done too much damage and you’re not going to spend any money on timber replacement, cover the entrances to the galleries with putty so other bees don’t decide to take up residence there. Otherwise, if you have the money, it might be a good idea to replace any timber the carpenter bees have damaged

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | you can caulk or plug the holes all you want. they WILL burrow there way out. carpenter bee holes go about an inch, turn 90 degrees and can run for several yards inside the lumber. i have a 40' carpenter bee tract that runs from my front door, to my upstairs laundry room. all the way up the rafter...fuckin nuts. flying insect killer will kill the males {the ones flying around} they do not have stingers. the female {queen} stays inside laying larva. larva take a full season to hatch..so kill the ones this year with whatever you want, next year when they hatch they will burrow out. you need to use a puffer to puf borax into there holes, and then plug with corks. the borax is a desicant, when the larvae hatch they will immediately be shriveled up by the powder in the hole. thats about your only way to control carpenter bees. residual poisons dont work worth a damn, because they dont eat the wood. so if you dont spray the bee directly, it wont kill them. if you spray there homes, carpenter bee killer is worthless. by the 3 or 7month control all purpose indoor/outdoor bug killer...for roaches and stuff. that will empty all the workers giving you a chance dust and plug the holes. just remember the queens have stingers, and may very well not appreciate your poisoning.

one of those little blue squeeze bulbs for baby irrigation works good. you can also mix a little sevin dust into the boric acid too. liquid just wont work on the larva. it soaks into the wood and they crawl over top. the desiccant dries them up but yeah that going in and running along the grain for feet and more is a PITA. that can seriously weaken wood T_C
