Sliced the big pod this morning. Will probably slice the rest now. Used a scalpel blade! worked excellent! There hasn't been rain in a week and I haven't watered so there isn't much moisture in the latex. I'm sure I can still let them grow out for seeds as well. Also I can see more pods coming out so after I harvest the first round. I'll have to wet the soil for the second flush of flowering coming in!   | ||

| Here I sliced the second biggest one as well. Going to give the other 3 a few more days for the crown to turn up.  | ||

| A few hours later now in the afternoon. It's been let to dry before the sun even came out. not sliced when it was hot and sunny. I'll scrape it off later tonight. Can see a bit scraped off already for a taste, very bitter. Eventually grind everything up and boil it down for the second draw. First draw far more potent and bitter like a pill in taste.  | ||

| Cool GW! I was starting to wonder where all the attention went!  Was starting to feel like I was shouting to an empty room!  Your praises are worth just as much to me as reaping the rewards themselves. Makes it all worth while to share this with you all. Don't thank me. Thank the man behind the curtain for allowing it! If you like those pics. Then you'll like these too!! I agree it's probably my best thread so far but the best is yet to come!  Right after those two were sliced it started to rain for a bit. Had to cover the soil in a hurryto protect the rest . Opium will produce noticable effects and a taste remiscent of vanilla almost! YUM! By noticable effects I mean a noticable drop in blood pressure so start with very small doses if you ever try it. DON'T use opium if you DON'T suffer from pain. It's not a recreational substance. If you haven't been allergy tested for opiates or you have heart problems of any kind, especially low blood pressure. Use common sense and abstain if you have issues with addiction or self control or self destruction then don't even try it in the first place. | Oh I've smoked a bit of ope, but I am pretty sure it was the extract, not that gloriousness you have on the end of that knife!  It can be highly addictive for sure, and is no joke. But a great high and amazing taste and smell!

| Nice to see you finally got to reap rewards from your Poppy grow BC. Havent been around ina couple days. I been on a fishing trip so i missed these last few entries. Good work. I may e into a small Poppy grow myself this coming year. Whos knows

Fishing!?  Cool! Did you catch anything aside from a hangover? Have been meaning to get out and do some fishing/camping this year. Just haven't gotten around to it this year with all this gardening .  Probably do some dirtbiking, fishing ,camping before the summers over myself. Maybe take a few pics of my isolated plantations. But back on the topic of the poppies. Yes I've reaped a bit but theres still lot more to come. I've still yet to slice the second 3 pods. I'm going to let them dry on the stem maybe try and get a second lancing out of them. More pods are starting to appear at the nodes !!! The fun in this thread is far from over! | ||
