Hey I play with strawberries too....nothing serious
....just a gage for my Bat Guano strengths....
I like to make the leaves as green as possible.
I've found they thrive if allowed to dry between waters and feedings....hmmm
I wonder what they'll taste like.

Now the funny thing is ....I ahve some grape seeds from some of the biggest grapes Ive ever seen.
So ofcourse I had to buy them. Now they're sitting in a cup with a paper towel drying out for about a month or so, then what germ them ??

I've heard that grapes take time, lots of time. 3 years from seed before you will get the best flavor and yields from a vine. But then, there is nothing like having fresh grapes within your grasp. Also, if you plan to use them in wine, dont bother til after the 3 years, it will not be as good as it can be.

Now, where the hell have yall found strawberry seeds at? I have looked in every damn local nursery or yard supplies store for the past month and havnt seen even an empty package. Was looking forward to having some this year, but looks like I'll be doing mail order and starting them over the winter..

grow on and have fun!

I picked up 3 starter cups while cruising Home Depot for a few things in the garden department

I've noticed the grape vines everywhere on sale, but I want to take a trip to a serious vineyard and gather some information.
Wouldn't that be cool while buzzed.
I swear we should all get together and open a huge Nursery

P,

Grapevines are awesome. When I was a kid, my dad had an awesome one going. He built a "garage frame" of sorts and let the vine provide the walls and ceiling. One thing my friends always thought was strange was that we never used the grapes from it.

One of my dad's favorite foods from the old country is grapeleaves. Basically, you take the leaves and wrap up a mix of ground lamb, rice, chopped onions and chopped tomatoes and boil them covered until the meat is cooked through.

I'm not exactly sure why I shared that, but if you grow grapes, don't waste those leaves. We use our leaves, don't we?
