My Strawberries have sprouted in abundance. They are slow growing to start seemingly.

I'll get some current pics up soon.

By far the biggest problem with Strawberry cultivation are fungal issues.

Keep the RH low enough, keep drainage ample, consider using a Neem drench, and the rest will fruit itself!

They do start slow but before you know it those vines will take off like nuts. I learned by trimming off shoots from the main vine it produces better quality fruit. Wish I had the space for them this season but decided to take a run with some Moon and Stars watermelons instead.

Did pick up an Ice Cream banana tree though yesterday to try a new plant but unfortunately won't see any of the only kind of bananas we like on this forum until the end of next summer.

Good luck with the berries and keep us updated Rev.

Edit:
Oh .... the vined plants prefer just root feedings and no foliar feedings with the exception of the tomatoes and like MJ it is best to let them use the leaves energy before harvests for sweeter fruits.

I"ll try to get pics up of my lil strawberry plants later today. I've got 2 indoors and one outdoors. I've given them small doses of food no more than 500ppms. No ill effect as it was a while ago. They have been getting plain water recently...

Here's a cup of strawberries I've sprouted. I had some fun with PSHop.
