OP - you stuck your neck out and I'm chiming in.
I came to this site several years ago because I had decided to "grow my own" and I knew nothing at all about it 'cept what I read in one book. I have learned a lot here and continue to learn everyday. For me. I want this site to remain a site for the cultivation of marijuana. That's what I do and that is why I come here.
'nuf said. If people want more, there are plenty of places on the web to get what ever it is you desire. I, personally, don't need us to be all things to our members.

I agree with outdoors. Although we have recently changed the scope here a bit, I'm nost sure it's a good idea to be getting into the cultivation of this particular flower/herb. If we started a cultivation forum, or even thread, then what's to stop CT from opening a respective "Methods of Use" forum? I don't think that's a good flower/herb to promote the methods of use for. If not taken properly, it goes without saying what the consequences could be.

I've smoked mj since I was 15, I'm 25 now. During my time I've known people die from heroin overdoses and they didn't even think that they would ever overdose. It's a lethal drug and I hate it's existance.

I actually aquired several thousand poppy seeds in a recent MJ seed transaction. Didn't ask for them, don't really want them.

I have smoked opium before. Never got addicted. Almost couldn't stand the perfumy smell/taste of it. I also accidentally snorted about 1/4 gram of heroin once. Did not like that feeling at all. Will never do it again. I don't see how people get addicted to a drug that renders them a useless drooling waste of space.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but unless you plan on dedicating a section to pathogens & toxins I would have to say no f'ing way.

Is there anybody here who hasn't seen what this stuff does to people? I mean, I'm all for free speech, but I'd have a tough time reconciling the genuine holistic benefits of marijuana against the devestating consequences of growing, supplying, and god forbid use of herione.

IMHO, this community is about more than increasing yields, it's about changing perceptions with regards to Marijuana. There are thousands of healthy, happy, habitual users of illegal drugs here who have one thing in common: we know MJ does more good than harm....something you can't say for opiates in general (and herione in particular).

I think this site should strictly remain dedicated to medical MJ.
I think expanding the board to include other herbs as poppy and coca will bring unnecessary and unwanted attention not only from law enforcement but also bring in an unsavory crowd or young stupid novices.
What will happen if some dumbass, adult or minor, caught wind on how to grow opium poppies then o.d.'s somehow on the liquid?
This site would catch all kinda shit.
We are already here because of people's stupidity. Lets not make it worse be being stupid ourselves.

That being said, if one is determined to obtain opium poppy and coca, there are already dedicated forums on the internet where one can go to find out information on these plants.
Go there, they have already accepted the burden.

I agree with everyone. Keep this forum dedicated to mary, she is probobly the only illegal drug that I can see becoming legal within the next 10 years. Everything is illegal for a reason, like it or not.

As far as I am concerned, herion = poison ... I cant think of one positive thing it can POSSIBLY do for you, other than kill you. It has ruined way to many peoples lives, and it just plain sucks.

Stay away from it, I see nothing good coming from it now, or in the near and distant future.

... as far as the smell of opium ... mmmmmmm ... never tried it though :/
