what plant is this?
permalink

high,
I was on a tour lately and came across this plant. Our guide said this was a form of wormwood natives used (in combination with other things) as a hallucinogen. I have read that wormwood is used in absenth. I was wondering if this is a form of wormwood, and if it is of the proper family of hallucinogens.
thanks

Those aren't exactly herbarium quality mounts From what I can make out there is a possibility it is. Here's a link to get you started on your search.

thanks mex and buzz. I have a cutting that has a decient stem structure so I'm gonna see if I can root it. I was curious because the leaves dont look very similar and I tasted some and it wasn't bitter at all. Hopefully my cutting takes roots and i can grow this out.
thanks again

It looks somewhat like Rosmarin (Rosemary).

Is there a prize for the best guess?

thanks again, as much as I dislike antibiotics they helped and I'm back to my lovely herb (vaporizing). ha, the best prize I can offer is I will smoke my clouldmaker in your name.... I was talking with a fellow plant lover, and she said it is a sage, and since my attempted clones died, she's goning to give me a rooted cutting I'm off to enjoy the outdoors... Happy Growing
