Nothing wrong with roses. They will grow in the same soil as your herbs in the same light. They can be prone to fungus in wet weather. Nothing a little diluted canola oil in a foliar spray can't fix.

I have some yellowishpink mini roses in a 5 gallon on the deck with a bunch of new flowers coming in and sprayed them this morning with a canola oil solution.

Canola apparently prevents the germination of the fungal spores.

You can also use other natural fungicides like sulphur powder, diluted
garlic, fern tea, onion tea.. all of which are anti fungal and will prevent
the outbreaks of mold.

Also using mycorrhizae sand humic acid in the soil prevent diseases and molds
in all plants including roses and tomatos.

I personally have never had a mold outbreak kill tomatos indoor or out.

That can also happen if you have too many of one kind of plant
in the same area and or garden bed.

So thats normally what happens, she reads her books and I read my plants. Occasionally I'll bring her a plant to look at that Im excited about and she'll share my excitement with me. Personally, thats enough for me.
Hehe, sounds like my situation.
