so today i was minding my own buisness when i stumbled across a 5 foot wide datura bush growing near a nearby desert.so,i gathered alot of the foliage and their drying right now.however,i have no idea what to do with it,as it has some toxins it.any safe way to use this plant?it doesnt have to be inward,but i have heard stories of it being made into a substance that helps with asthma.any thoughts?-Norsk

If it is indeed Datura, Be very cautious with it. There is a razor fine line between it being psychoactive and lethal. You can make a tinciture of it by soaking it in alcohol.

But again, I would caution you to do a LOT of reading on it B4 you even considering trying it.. The alkoloids in it can cause you to trip similar to LSD. But again in excess they can put you to sleep Perminantly!!

I would strongly recommend that if you DO choose to try it, have a partner present who has a very cool head and who can either talk you down from a bad trip or get you to the local ER if you OD.

i did it once, and it was bad. i've had a couple of my friends go get there stomachs pumped and eat charcoal, because they had a handful of seeds. i had three handfuls when i was younger... and i was out of it for three days.. lost 10 hours.. i have no recolection of it.. apparently i got arrested, cause i was asleep in the middle of a road, was hallucinating for three days straight.. but the worst part of it, was that when i was seeing things, i wasn't just seeing them, i could smell them, fell them, hear them.. they were real... very real.. to the point where i couldn't define what was real and what wasn't. and thats where the problems start. i woke up in the middle of the night and smelled weed, i looked around and my bedroom was hot boxed and a few of my friends were sitting there with bongs in hand, and i started bitching at them about how much trouble they were goin to get me in, when my parents woke up and smelled that, and heard us.. then my dad knocked on the door, and i was freaked, thought i was busted, and he asked me who i was talking to, and i looked... and the room was empty. smoke had cleared.. even things that seemed ordinary, like at one point i was just sitting around watching tv, and i'd picked somthing up off the table, and i felt it in my hand, and noticed it seemed heavy for its size, and looked down, and there was nothing there. according to my sister at one point i was sitting in the living room and thought i was smoking a joint.. she said i kept coughing and hacking, and ashing it into a pop can on the table. nothing in my hand of course.... my poor mother had to put up with my hallucinating ass for three days.. it was not cool. and actually about a month ago a guy my girlfriend graduated died casue he was so out of it, i don't know what happened but he was found in the lake, and had taken datura. he could have thought he could breath under water for all i know, and it's completely possible. i strongly reccomend no one even bother trying this, i should by all accounts be dead. according to everything i've read the dose i had was way beyond lethal, and i ddin't have my stomach pumped, wasn't treated for poisoning. i'm damn lucky. one funny story abotu datura.. before my friend had to have his stomach pumped... his dad showed up while him and his friend were both on it, one was sitting on a couch outside, trying to start it, (he thought it was his car) and the other one was up in a tree naked talking to a cat(that wasn't there)
