You probably won't see gods, but you will almost certainly puke your brains out. It does grow very slowly, taking perhaps 5 years to mature, and it's illegal to boot. There are several other cacti that also contain mescaline which are legal as long as it isn't grown with the 'intent to produce mescaline'. Trichocereus pachanoi and trichocereus peruvianus are the most popular choices. As an added benefit, these plants grow much faster than peyote. Either of these two grow 1-2 doses/year/branch and cuttings or seeds can legally be ordered online. Trichocereus pachanoi is a common landscape cactus in california. I'm chronicaling my trichocereus peruvianus seed grow under the leonotus thread in this forum. They're easy to grow for someone with indoor MJ growing experience/equipment, prefering temps in the 80's and very bright light. I'm not much into killing plants I've nutured for years, drinking slime and barfing, so my plants will likely live long happy lives along my fenceline. | ||

![]() | Yes. Puked and dry-heaved for about an hour or so, then had a great spiritual ride. At the time, I was in a hot house right next to a pond, and had a ceremonial tribute to my ancestors.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I did peyote years ago and we compared it to acid. Matter of fact we did it during the Woodstock era. Wouldn't mess with it now...You might as well lick frogs in South America ! ![]() I agree with mSeTxOiNcEaRn I also agree with komet Quote:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Pearl- You can't lick a toad to trip...I'm prett sure. The active hallucinogen in the slime coating that particular variety of Bufensis is 5-Meo-DMT, a variant on DiMethylTriptamine. DMT, after our beloved mj, is probably the most interesting drug out there, present in almost all living things. To get it from the toad, I think you're supposed to dry it and smoke it... I've tried it...whoa There's a book called DMT- The Spirit Molecule, a very good read. As for peyote, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 was originally passed specifically to make exception for the Native American church's use of peyote. So if you're considering it, I suggest you endeavor to take it on a reservation, with church members, as a spiritual experience. On a related note, in Feb '06, the Supreme Court of the US ruled unanimously in favor of a New Mexico church that was importing DMT from Mexico and distributing it to church members. The law cited in their case...RFRA of 1993! Check out my thread in the Tiki lounge on Temple 420 if you're interested in further reading about the RFRA. -the man with the golden nug

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, it depends on how you wanna trip. If you're really into the alcohol-induced feeling, you could probably lick one of those poison frogs and get quite an effect. But 5-MeO-DMT... no. Quote:
