Citrus trees can take 5-20 years to fruit from seed, so it might be a long wait unless the leaves are distinctive.

They have varying levels of frost hardiness too, mostly people keep lemons where I live in 9b. We had a serious cold snap the last few days, but my meyer lemon doesn't look any worse for wear. The last of the annuals that were hanging on look electrocuted though.

im going to have to say it is a orange tree but it also can be a Manderin tree to so that is my vote and as Dreadking said they do have similar leaves so it has to be in the citrus type kind of tree

keep it growing and lets see what it is good luck

Not much to report about the fruit tree, still she grows slowly. I forgot to mention that when I was doing the transplant, I noticed the seed looked dark not like any of the seeds I tossed, from manderines or oranges.

In relation to height on both trees - not much, maybe 6 inches, but they have bushed out a bit with new shoots/branches, but I guess thats because they are using their energy to bare fruit, plus I donīt water them as much as I should!!

They had fruit on them when I got them, and that takes a while to mature, then you pick them and the trees seem to sleep until they flower again, then the cycle continues. The new growth seems to happen just before flowering.

Also they stay small if the pot is smaller, as a way of controlling the size.

When you notice a slow down in growth, upgrade the pot.

You could build a grow room run it hydro 24/0 the whole shebang and have something in a year or 2...lol.

Hope it's a money tree.

Or graft a bud from it onto an existing tree of fruiting size and it'll produce a branch that could bear within a year or so, turbocharged from the rootstock.
