Ladies and Gentlemen ... my fellow growers, back again by popular demand, the JOTY, Journal of the year awards, the time in which we honour those among us who have proven to be excellent growers and nurturing members alike. This years list of categories is: Best Soil Journal Best Hydro Journal Best Fluorescent/EVL Journal (Any Medium) Best ScrOG Journal (Any Medium) Best Micro-grow Journal (Less than 10 sq ft or 0.92 sq Meter) (Any Medium) Best of Show- Best Journal regardless of other criteria Most Helpful Member - No grow journal required All nominations are made by you, apart from best of show which is picked by staff. So let's hear from you ... who stands out in these categories? Who deserves the special recognition and prizes? After a member nomination period (November 13th-27th ), the staff (November 27th-December 4th) will narrow the nominees in each field to 3 nominees per category. During the 3rd week (December 4th-11th), the community members will vote on the 3 finalists in each category. The Winners will be announced on December 21st The Rules: Every member is allowed 1 nomination in each category listed above. Yes, you can nominate the same journal/member for more than one category. One complete clone (or seed) to harvest cycle contained within the journal. The nominated journals must be a single journal ... no "multi-journals". Previous JOTY winners are not allowed to enter. Staff are also not allowed to participate in the awards; so please do not nominate them ... we already know they are doing a good job....  Staff Judging: When we, the staff, are narrowing down the nominations, we base our judgements on the quality of information contained in the journal, the nominees willingness to help/learn, entertainment value, overall health/appearance of the crop, yield, quality of photo documentation, etc ... fancy bud shots, number of views, and A-line strains are our last considerations Best of Show is not a nominated catagory-- that one, the judges/Staff pick Prizes: Lifetime420 Subscriptions to GardensCure.com Nominations: Please place all Journal nominations in this thread which will be opened for nominations on November 13th. PM nominations will not be accepted. Each nomination must include the nominee's name and a link to the journal being nominated. In the case of the "Most Helpful Member" category, please post the members name and a link to their profile. C'mon Gc ... who do you admire for their skill, apptitude and respect? Who tickles your green thumb? Let us all know who you think should be named as this year's Journal of the Year Award Winner!

Sadly Vonrasta was busted in Sept.09' and no longer grows, but he still gets on here. I think he deserves this award Long live the Sasquatch

Would it be unethical for me to nominate: The Mac Daddy Box and Grow for Soil Journal of the Year. Its my thread but its Sharpdog(my roommate)'s grow and journal. All I did was an update or two and pretty much watched from the sidelines after my hempy plants turned out to be male. Just asking???? If I can there you go I nominate it. If not then Check it out anyway and see the MONSTERS, remember EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS!!!!!!! TC
