Mind if I ask if your ISP is AOL? Just wondering because I have been investigating this issue and cant seem to find a common constant as of this point, however, many of the users complaining of this and similar issues use AOL for their Internet Service Provider.

Also - any chance of getting the exact error message?

One more thing...How many other people are experiencing this problem and do you use AOL for an ISP?

I get an error message when I try to open the MJ.com page:

Iexplore
This program has performed an illegal operationand will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the vendor program.

Details:

Iexplore caused an invalid page fault in module URLMON.DLL at 0177:402c2387

AOL provides IE for my ISP.

Hope that gives enough info. Thanks

My service provider is Earthlink. I have no other problem with accessing this site. Only when I try to access Grow guide. The page opens completely then I get this message."This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact program vendor."

I have IE 5.5, WIN98SE

My guess it is something wrong in the source code. I downloaded the source, saved it, disconnected from ISP and opened. Page opened without problem. So it must be something in the code, one of the links that is called, that is causing the problem.

Urlmon.dll controlls URLDownloadToCacheFile function. First you need to make sure that your IE cache is not damaged. Follow the instructions at this link.
Guys - I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but I did find this little nugget that I thought I would share with you guys that are having problems - please let me know if this helps out at all.

That did not work at all. After following the steps, I tried to open the grow guide and got the same error message. Now I have a slight problem. I've moved my cookies back but in the process of moving them to a new folder, a new 32 kb Index.Dat file was created. When I tried to move my cookies back I couldn't copy over that file. I keep getting a message saying it is write-protected or in use. Cannot delete or write over. So when I opened HC.com it didn't recognize and I had to re-enter username and password. Which I didn't write down, counting on my cookies. After a few attempts I got it. Don't know the full effects of balance of my web pages.

I would not suggest an attempt at this fix!!!
