Could you please inform me as to the legal age of growing marijuana. I would really like to know as i hope to not break any laws if i were to grow marijuana.

There is no specific legal age for growing cannabis in the United States.

Growing cannabis is however against current Federal law regardless of age.

Forfieture laws for breaking that law derive to the owner or owners of the property where the cannabis is being grown regardless of their prior knowledge.

Now, no disrespect for such as surely satirical question as you just asked, but how are you planning to hide that 6 foot tall smelly plant under your baby brother's crib?

I strictly agree with the age limit *I voted too * but what about children that grow outside? I haven't noticed any around in a while, and if they are here then they sure as hell keep it a secret. I don't agree with them growing, but property seizures are normally minimal to house seizures...im not saying let children here if they grow outside at all, im more or less asking about the seizure method.....normally they just chop the plants right?

Kids are gunna do what kids are gunna do. As far as the site is concerned if you publicly admit that you are underage we will close your thread and ban you on the spot. It's more of a political position then anything. As you all probably know marijuana.com is a very visible URL and I’m sure our enemy is lurking around the site everyday trying to dig up crap on us to stop the legalization process of our fine herb. How do you think it would affect Rick’s mission of legalization if we let children freely grow on this site? By putting an effort in removing those that are underage we are showing the world that we are responsible adults growing marijuana responsibly. Not teaching kids how to grow and hide pot. Outside is the same as inside... If you are underage and ADMIT IT you will be removed from the community ASAP.

As far as property seizures go, I do believe that your property is the same as your home and if they find marijuana growing on it they can take it all house, cars, & property, WITHOUT a conviction (depending on what state, Colorado has changed their property forfeiture laws to make it harder to get your stuff with out a conviction.) Now, if it’s not your property.. Well that’s a different story.

I came here as a wee little lad, i guess the reason i didn't get banned was because i never said anything or becuase i came before the rule was enforced...i agree with not letting children here, just seen it as an opening to ask my questions..

Most states and the Federal law will devovle the responsibility of an illegal act not only to the minor child but will punish the parents for at the very least neglect.

Part of that would be having your little bros and sis taken into HRS custody and sent off to foster care where they can meet some of folks who really "love" little children deeply... can you read between the lines there or do I really have to draw a picture???

Hempcultivation maintains a policy of not permitting, condoning or facillitating in the actions of minors (or minors living at their parents home) growing marijuana. We will ban any person who is underage or who lives with their parents and uses that place to grow marijuana.We exist for adults who have made an informed decision to cultivate, people who have weighed up the positive and negatives of the situation and want to be taught how they can grow their own supply of high grade marijuana. We also like to party....

Sure some underage posters will make their way onto this system, we will however make every endeavour to remove them if they make themselves known or allude to the fact that they are infringing our rules. We make no apologies for this, we use marijuana as adults and are here to help adults grow marijuana.
There are many 'what ifs' to be considered, however it's impossible to consider all sides of a situation, so we dont, we control what we can by removing them as quickly as possible from this system.

I do not see how you guys could be so open-minded abotu one thing then be so closed-minded abotu another thing.

First of all i am not under 18. But it wasn't long ago that i WAS under 18.

I think if someone under the age of 18 is able so safely and with all permissions required grow marijuana without any major legal/moral issues then this site should not be blocked to them.

Relying soley on someones age to determine their situation is not a very good idea.

This rule should defineately still be in place, but we shouldnt judge their age but their situation. if someone is growing marijuana in a house not under their name and they do not have express permission to grow marijuana they should be banned. Regardless of age.
