I've been seeing quite a bit of moved threads in this forum, and most of the threads are in fact somehow related to planting indoors, as a frequent user of this forum, i'd just like to suggest moderators suggest the owner of the thread post on the "more appropriate" forum rather than move it. Just a suggestion. thanks.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I see your point. ![]() My problem is this: If I come across a thread that shouldn't be in indoors but should be in seed banks or somewhere, post a wrong forum reply and close the thread, I don't seem too friendly. What I try to do is post a moving to: reply and move it keeping the thread open and the discussion going. Sometimes, I admit I am rushed for time so I just move it without the reply. For instance: Moved to Hempcultivation.Com Forum ![]() Plains

Or you can subscribe to the thread if you wish to follow it as long as it is getting replies.

![]() | I really like this site and enjoy the conversation but most of the frustration for me seems to be at the moderator level and the gross inconsistancy with enforcing the published rules. Too many of the mods are still being a little anal retentive, making up there own rules as they go and generally being inconsistant. Couple small examples.... 3hounds rather rudely closed a thread because it was talking about cats and their bad habit of eating plants. "Talk of animals and drugs will not be tolerated, thread closed" Rockclimber seems to have decided recently that NO URL's at all are allowed aside from the fact the rules state no direct URL's to commercial sites or non related material. The link was to a non commercial cannabis genetics database. Moving threads to appropriate forums is fine but in many cases there is just too much nit picking. i.e. an exagerated example... long running thread that gets arbitrarily closed for being off topic in say hydro because mentioned in the course of conversation is the word seed. Can't say how many times people have started threads only to have a mod come in and close it because someone else already asked or talked about the subject. Pretty stifling to the concept of exchange and discussion of ideas.

![]() | I don't want to come off as complaining because I'm not but I agree wholeheartedly with LordRaven. I've seen MANY threads closed not due to forum rules but due to a mod's personal discretion. Just like a thread I started suggesting that one of the funniest and most successful threads in the tiki room be re-opened. The thread I started was closed before others even had a chance to voice their opinions. This to me only shows favoritism which is unacceptable when carrying a moderator status. I'm in total agreement with the forum rules and abide by them. But when threads are closed outside the rules before the community has a chance to voice, is to me, defeating the purpose of why we all are here. Which is more relative to a community, the voice of it's members or the discretion of a mod? When I have company, they are aware of the rules yes. After this it is my desire to make company as comfortable as humanly possible and not turn a cold shoulder when they ask for pepsi when I only have coke. If my company doesn't like steak I'll not serve it. It's not important what I like, it's important what my company likes. But that's just my philosophy. I love this site and will continue to visit here but I do believe some mods need to lighten up. And yes I'm fully aware that no one's perfect but...
