![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | base it on the grows.. as listed in the grow journals.. and it should be a vote based system.. We can vote on who should be a "master" gardener. I want advice from someone who knows what they are doing, not from someone who posted a lot of BS. But I still want to be able to put up an avatar at 100 posts. Just my $.02 PFR

![]() ![]() ![]() | Ranking by grows is unaccurate though, Someone may be 40 years old and grown thousands of times but only grown once with a journal, does this mean they are a junior gardener? The ranking system at the moment is adequate if you ask me, it does its job, why fix it if it aint broke ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm cool with a new system as proposed. It would be a bit more involved.. but hey.. it would more accurately reflect the growers talent. I am 34.. does that mean I shouldn't be a junior grower? I haven't even flowered one plant yet. So you see.. you can't base it on age.. and how are we to verify anyone's experience in growing? We are all pretty much anonymous here.. someone could claim 20,30 yrs experience.. and who would verify that claim? I think it is reasonable that anyone who, even if they had 30/40 yrs experience.. would understand that they are new and would deal with it. Besides.. if they've been growing that long.. they would "blossom" through the ranks fast. I could post a million bogus responses to questions, or just a million posts, and be labeled "Gardener Extreme", without ever growing one plant. Look ma.. one post closer to bein a gardener. Just bustin balls here.. but I think you get my point. I'm not an unreasonable man.. just an insane one. PFR

![]() | truer words were ever spoken mj for instance like me im new to the site but ive been researching the growth cycle of lots of plants but especially marijuana now honestly ive only grown like once or twice and thats bc the cops are really cracking down on this town so im trying to not be sketchy but regardless of what the rankings say im at least a gardner if not senior one at least but i think it should be based on post as long as you have some growth bc if you offer life saving advice and it really shows your intelligence you get no credit think about that for a while and get back to me its time for a wake n bake peace ![]()

![]() | As long as the site encourages titles with the posts, you are gonna get the peeps that just post questions and say *Wow, that looks great* and PING! there is their point closer ![]() Mebbe if peeps had avatars from the get go, there woould not be a rush for 100 posts and peeps might actually READ a lil, but they want their lil pic, so they post and get caught up in a cycle of useless postings. How to tell the real gardeners from the flakes? Watch people's grows, pay attn to what they say and use, and watch the reactions of their plants, but the only way to find a TRUE teacher, is to either get adopted by some master grower, ::blushing-batting-eyelashes:: or be determined enough to learn it on your own! (in which case, if a teacher see's your passion, they might wanna adopt you into their methods) The Master Gardener should understand MsMJ's physiology, and read up on some plant botany in order to BETTER understand how she *works*...because there are MANY factors to consider in EACH growroom, enviromentally, for starters, so they have to make sure all the perfect adjustmetns are made for her.... lights are a big part, but they are not the be-all, end-all. Who is a teacher? The one that talks about the Devil in the details, takes a min out to give you a lecture on the importance of CLEAN water, ABA, measuring your foods, making your own recipe's and soon, with experience, becoming a leafreader...your teacher breaks down that hard candy and feeds you taffy, and the wise teacher is not alone, other students more advanced than you in their training chime in and we all work together!
