are there any steps that have been taken to ensure that the longevity of the information on this site will be longer than that of the site itself? that is, if the DEA launched a scud missile (or several agents) into HC.com's server room(s), and all admins were arrested, would enough people have copies of the information on this site to ensure that it will be available to the masses for years to come?

seeing as this site exists solely for the creation of "the information," it would make sense to take precautions to ensure the continued existence of it in light of unforseen change.

with the latest round of DEA activity, we have seen that they are very interested in petty, nonconstructive abuse in the name of the war on drugs. and on the internet too.

just a thought

well for the info that if very important to me, growin and other things i burn to a cd every once in a while, also just about everything ive learnt is upstairs ( my half baked brain ) so just keep reading and experiminting.

but if the knowledge is no longer around for anyone to browse through, the number of people who know the info won't grow as fast. not as fast as if, say, all (or some percent of) active users were monthly given all text from the forums zipped? or maybe just given the text of 5 star threads. and maybe make a few more 5-stars to cover most topics thoroughly alone? maybe make a files section, allowing such a file to be downloaded. put the information in formation for everyone to get each month or a current "checkpoint?" (that was the most horrible thing i've ever said)

i dunno, there are varying degrees of doing it; i guess if anyone wants to implement this, it would be up to them as to what is most practical.

I have already learned practically everything I need to know from this site. like JAYDA said, It's all stored safely upstairs.

I would think If HC dissapeared, ten more sites would pop up in its place.-

as long as there's someone out there with a taste for marijuana, there will be information on how to grow it.

10 more sites may pop up, but they wouldn't be 2% as good. This is the best web site for ANYTHING that I have ever come across...I have a feeling that SCUD or not, this site is here to stay!
