spell checker?

anyway of gettin a spell checker in this new fangled vbullitin script? i know it would greatly help me to stop lookin like such a moron if i could spell better. since i'm older and its hard to teach an older dog new tricks, i think that new technology might help... maybe.. just a thought.

who knows maybe its not even possible, or to much work, but i would love it. maybe that way we can get the ghetto slang outta here.. oh god i love reading that stuff... bah

There is a solution available now in the form of Mozilla, use any version of Mozilla 1.5 onwards from 2003-07-28 or after. Give it a try and tell me how it works out.

But if you're so worried about it (and I really doubt anyone here thinks you're a moron because of a few mis-spellings), why not open a seperate window with a WP that HAS a spell-check...and then simply cut-n-paste your reply.

OR...like the mRs, who has a dictionary within arm's reach.

We have contests to see who can look it up fastest. Her with the paper dictionary and me online.

Tbh, usually I ask her how to spell it and she gets it right in one.

it was just a thought. i saw how the new softwear worked and the new buttons for links and stuff and it looked like similar windows programs that have a spell checker already in it. so i really just was wondering...

yeah poon, the whole word thing is proly the best idea, but sometimes i can't seem to bother, spelling is definatly not my forte, oh well... hopefully the knowledge makes up for the spelling mistakes...

After a bit more searching I've come across a free spell checker for Internet Explorer called ieSpell, the website is Here. I've included a screen shot of it working with this post just to show you how well it ties into IE.

sweetness... now that is a nifty program. got it and it works wonders. nice find bush! now i will defiantly start to post some proper replies. i know it doesn't sound like much, but i have always had a problem spelling, and well i kinda wanna start to get things right. it may not seem like all that big of a deal, but i wanna try and remedy this little problem. although i will still have my colloquial slang, the typos will surly be reduced!

thats Although and surley.

it doesnt bother me too much when a word is misspelled occasionally. Its when grammer is abused, i get a headache reading it.
