As many of us have seen, the first post of some users goes along the guidelines "Hey I'm underage and living with my parents, how can I grow?" meaning that the posting guidelines haven't been read. Or "Will this ___ work to grow with?" I've slipped on occasion I'm sure but the mods are doing great to keep us all in check I know I didn't read the posting guidelines when I first signed up here. So here's my question for the admins:

Is there any way to have a beginning 'quiz' of sorts before you are allowed to post for the first time? Sorta like a tutorial that covers most of the really basic questions and the posting guidelines. Such as:

Can I grow in my parents house?
--No
Who wrote the Posting Guidelines?
--lilbuddie
According to the grow guide, what are the two main lighting types?
--HID + flouro
Using the search feature, who started the 'Membership perqs' thread?
--Milagro

Or something to that effect. Just like 5 or so questions that would hopefully clear up some things for new members. An intro to the search button maybe? Just something to help out the moderators and reduce common questions and mistakes. Perhaps once they finish they can get some type of reward? A little extra +K or something. Just a thought, or would that be more trouble than it's worth?

This is a great idea! If someones not willing to spend a couple of minutes learning how to use the site I'm not sure how beneficial they will be to the HC community.
