Well, i dont think this necissarily falls under new forum idea, so im throwing it here. But i figure this is a decent idea to throw around, i was browsing wikipedia earlier and realized how badass it is , so why not do something simmilar for the grow guide?

Hey, I was about to post the same idea but ran into this post and wanted to say I second the motion. I've run a site using MediaWiki before - it's easy as hell to setup and get running, you get the same interface and options as exist in Wikipedia(it's the same backend software), and it's an extremely good way to have user-updateable guides and FAQs

It's all PHP/MySQL, so this site could easily set it up and host it on the same server, as a companion to the forums. The load from running the software isn't too bad, and there are options out there to speed it up w/ caching and what not(wikipedia gets unbelievable traffic and has an incredible cluster of servers setup to host it)

I would do this on my own, but if hempcultivation.com would host it I think it would make a lot more sense and be able to inherit an existing userbase. If anyone has questions about running this, as I said I have over a year of experience running a decent-sized MediaWiki site so I'm fairly familiar with the software and setup

Ya that would definately be awesome. I just recently ran across Wikipedia and am in awe at the amount of detailed imformation on there. Great idea!
