"I wanna know what strain will give me the biggest yield w/ the highest potency that is easy to grow"

Ok, so we've all seen this thread a thousand times, so I want to put a new spin on things. What strains would you absolutely NEVER recommend to anybody. I want to build a list of strains that people loathe and will never put in their garden again and more importantly WHY.

I'll start with two submissions from my first indoor hydro grow.

Alaskan Ice - Stretches like crazy, too much variation between phenos, not much weight, and it takes forever. May be ok for outdoor, but for indoor I aboslutely hate this strain.

Power Skunk - Very stretchy, sucks to trim, not much weight, and takes forever. Only for the outdoor grower.

What strains have you banned from your garden?

og haze x skunk #1 takes forever, the smoke is worthless and its a freaking stretch monster. it can be controlled, but in the end it is not worth the time it takes to grow it out.
id say ok for outdoors, but id never waste the time or energy closet cultivating this one.

I've heard the exact opposite and just picked up some beans not too long back. Some guys from a different forum who I have a ton of respect for and trust their opinions both absolutely rave about the smoke of the Skunk Haze. They're both pot snobs so I highly value their opinions. Maybe just some bad luck on your run Luke?

There's a few guys here who liked her as well.

Blueberry skunk...more like a cross of kudzu and a rasberry bush. Never seen to many leaves...except maybe at the Arboretum. Made really nice hash..that sez something...but it overgrew my growroom, putting everything else at risk, in its ceaseless, 8 week stretch.

well this is haze skunk not skunk haze. not trying to nit pick, but this is from sam the seedman. freebs from seedboutique.

i too heard good things. but its all opinion. the plant yields pretty well..but the buds were super fluffy. long and fluffy. the smoke was not very stony at all...but not a bad daytime get shit done kinda smoke. the damn plant was huge too, and took forever. so there it sat in the corner of my room for a month longer than everything else, and could have gone longer.

also, this plant hermed like a bitch and is a nightmare to trim. tiny leaves EVERYWHERE!!!

im not a pot snob, i just like to get high enough so i can no longer feel the strains of today, the pains of yesterday or the stresses of tomorrow.

also im no the only person to grow this plant and have the exact same results. of course they were all grown from the same mother. i only germ'd two beans and got one fem. thats what i stuck with.

T.Haze x Skunk or Haze x Skunk? There were a lot of the T.Haze x Skunk given away because most people buying beans weren't after a monster plant that takes 14-26 weeks depending upon the pheno so there was probably a lot of extra stock just sitting there getting old and/or cause Sam's that kind of guy. Sounds like maybe the T.Haze is what you got. Thai varieties are known to herm and are very sensitive.

The Skunk x Haze is not as massive but very big also and takes about 14-16 weeks to finish.

How long did you flower them? Check the trichs? Any light leaks or fluctuations to cause hermies? The sats are super sensitive to changes. Sam introduced the Skunk to the world and is the best source of the original Skunk(Seedsman and Flying Dutchman as well since both banks carry Sam's Skunk varieties).

Appreciate your response Luke. Discussions like this help us all. The bud is not going to be stoney at all. They're pure or nearly pure sativas which is exactly what I was after. I'm guessing you must prefer to be stoned rather than hiiiiiii. I do like both but really, really enjoy the active high to the droolers.

I'm with you on the let's put this day behind me and relax Luke. Makes my day brand new again after a stressful day at work for sure.

On topic .... DP's Strawberry Cough has been my only waste of time, space, and lighter fluid to date. Won't do any DP again for certain.
