So I've been looking at a few Autoflower strains, more specifically Lowryder. This strain generally takes 60 days to be finished from seed according to many sources. Does this mean I can plant it any time of the year since it's autoflower as long as the tempretures don't go low enough to kill it? I do realize with shorter days that it will get less energy therefor producing a smaller yield.... It tends to get a bit cold around late September in my area. Could I basically plant it outside when it starts getting steady warm? Like around april or so put 10 plants outside with bat guano mixture in soil(guides say I don't need to give lowryder nutes if using bat guano soil mixture). Can I just plant them in pots or something outside and come back 60 days later to harvest?(I didn't forget about the watering which I can make trips for) So could I... Plant in April 20 Harvest in June 20-25 Plant again June 24-29 Harvest in August - 25-30 I know I could probably get more bud off better/bigger plants but since I will be growing lowryder inside I'll pollinate 1 plant to get my own little collection of seeds that I can use over and over again, instead of spending like 100 bucks on other seeds for outside. If you lived in an all warm climate year round like florida or even closer to equator, could you just grow low ryder(or any autoflower) all year long any time of the year? Edit: Also I read a lot that light schedules don't need to be so exact with autoflower strains... Does this mean it can just get light whenever and grow steady without stress? I'm not talking about going without light for 2-3 days but, what about letting it be outside during the day and bringing it in at night(cold nights possible)? Some days I might sleep in and not be able to put it out at the same time. If they flower on their own schedules then would it matter all to much it the light schedule was kind of erratic? ![]() | I have 1 low-rider x AK-47 and its at 67 days now still needs a week or 2 to finish...I was told it would go 80 days from seed, by the looks of the bud it still has a couple of weeks to go.......

![]() ![]() | First of all I have to say I have never grown a ruderalis/autoflowering strain. But from what I've read lowryder is a true-breeding plant. If that is true you should be able to grow it out under any light schedule. As long as your girls get some light everyday they should have no problem flowering. If you have a lowryder hybrid strain(I.E. Any Lowryder x whatever) there is a chance you will end up with a phenotype that is more like the non-autoflowering parent and wont flower under these conditions. It all depends on the specific strain you choose.

![]() | If you purchase Lowrider cross make sure it is Lowrider #2 more bulk and branching..... I have grown it at 18 hours of light and now I'm growing on at 12/12 and its budding up nice. They show flower at 2 to 3 weeks...... Word on the street from others growing Auto's is a lot of them are coming up male. There a lot of fun growing with no veg cycle........potancy ? varies. .the kush crosses look good.Sorry I don't grow out doors.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | lowryder has a 60 day flowering period. but with 17-23 days for till preflowering it is still very possible to get 3 or 4 harvests a year. with the plants yielding 10-20 grams a plant you need a hefty amount of them if you want some smoke to hold on to. thats the first lowryder, but now there are many crosses including Diesel Blueberry AK-47 Master kush White russian White widow Lemon skunk Santa maria all auto flowering, some of these strains will take 90+ days total from seed so you could get 2-3 harvests depending on your location, but the pot will be of higher quality and with yields closer to a true strain. easily an ounce a plant with the crosses. hope this helps you decide.

For me the LR2 and bluestreak both took a million years outside this year... May-Sept Really larfy and still the same mini size Theyre not recommended for outdoor personally only bad results seen... I did better than mother nature with a $100 mini cab ![]() i had the same thoughts when i first got em but sadly they kinda suck outside... bummed status. now these were my seeds i made of both LR2 and BS not the orig seed for the breeders. I wasnt impressed with LR2 at all to be honest blue streak indoors on the other hand is a whole notha story ![]() i havent tried deisle ryder yet....

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | there are several document out there that signifiy the importance of a dark cycle to plants...however these do not apply to auto flowers. Im my own experience i have used both 18/6 and 24/0 and have found the 24/0 plants get a lil bigger and finnish a lil quicker...maybe like an extra gram per bud and a few days sooner....idk not a huge diff. not tried 12/12 with these..
