![]() | I got a bunch of seeds from a friend recently. Apparently he pulled them all out of buds that he bought, so I assume they are all of different varities (the seeds look different too). Is there any way of telling what variety the plant is by the way the seed looks or by the way the plant looks as it grows? Also, what are the general guidelines for determining whether a seed is viable or not?

![]() | You can't predict anything of the future traits of the plant only looking the seed. More common viable seeds are healthy brown or grey (white color is a bad sign) and when you press they don't break.

![]() | superGreen....I did alittle growing and knowing whether or not your seeds are any goodisn't that hard. I put the best looking seeds in a small glass of water( luke warm )and the ones that fall to the bottom are the ones that are good. You can also leave them in the water over night, and as long as they are kept warm they will open and start to grow.

![]() | Hey SuperGreen, I Immerse them in water overnight and then use the paper towel method and it works out pretty good for me. Try it out. http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/s...&threadid=2726 There is a post in there that shows exactly what I do and like I said it works out pretty good for me atleast. Peace Duval
