Question
permalink

I have a flowering plant that had one male flower on it. It have not found any more than that. I did transplant it 2 weeks into flowering. Could this have caused it? I did not disturb the roots at all when I transplanted it. The plant is my largest so far and seems to be flowering nicely for 4' Flo's. Any ideas???

if you are positive that you didn`t disturb the roots. then i would think it to be a genetic flaw!you could let it seed and continue going,or you could try cutting the branch that the male flower is on and continue.

If you have a single male flower then this isn't necessarly a real hermie, female plants that don't get pollinated some times form a variety of ways to self pollinate...this can also be a source of feminized pollen source...as it has only the female chromesome...thai strains are particulary bad about having just one branch (normally low on the plant) that form male primordia, just keep plucking the beggers off if you don't want any seeds..
Peace,
Nevi

Thank you for the info. I have already plucked the culprit, now I am wondering if I should have left it to get Feminized seed. I am not really sure of the strand, but from pictures I think it may be NL. It is definatley an Indica, fat leaves and christmass tree like growth. I am cetain I did not disturb the roots. I picked it right out of its old pot and placed it in a larger one and filled in the dirt around the original root ball. I also pruned it about twoweeks after 12/12. I am going to try and reveg so hopefully I will get another single male flower and I can try the feminsed seed theory. Again thanks for the help, I can't tell you how much help this forum is. Seldom is it even necessary to post a question as most of them are answered here somewhere in the archives.
