I smoked some very good weed the other day (insane uncontrolable laughter) and the dude claimed it was Maui Wowie. I was just wondering if Maui Wowie was in fact actually a strain of weed. If so, why do no seed companies stock it?

I've heard of it, and I'm pretty sure I did come across a seed company that says it has it in stock.

Yes, i believe it is made by an South African company. Check at http://www.emeryseeds.com . It isnt a very popular strain, probably because it hasnt been given a chance yet, but from what i have heard and read, it is a favourite amongst the people that have smoked it.

I have seen it listed at the seed banks but that is a name from the 70s. I remember the name well so it is nothing new but very old to say the least; is it the same? Is it just as good? I have no idea. Like Blueberry, Acopoco Gold, Columbian Gold, Northern Lights, Redhair Skunk, Panama Red, and I think even Bubblegum these are all a blast from the past.

Thanks for your info everyone.

LB, i think your right about that. I was born in the 70's and never really got into smoking and growing pot until about 5 years ago. Too bad I missed out on alot.

I think I'll look through Marc Emery's Seeds again.

I dont think maui wowie exists anymore, it kept being breeded and now you cant get it in its original form like it used to be. In the movie half baked they had some maui wowie. They were robbing the weed stash and thurgood said: "Maui Wowie!

about Maui
permalink

Hello friends. That's my first post in this forums ...

I have some experience with the Maui.It was a popular strain in the 70 and Cheech and Chong favoutite's weed. I bougth the seeds in Amsterdam from a seedbank called Growi Seeds. They're associated with Positive grow (unique that i know that sells it). The catalogue says that it's a sativa X hawaiian skunk (???)

It's an excellent outdoor strain that profits the space, because it's a very good structured plant with a lot of branches. It can grows to 2 mrt and could give 400 grams of medium length buds crop. Their odour (in best individuals) is very fresh : good indica flavour first, very fresh and a little hashy at the end. The high is relaxed but happy with little sativa influence. Good for music and connect with nature. Hope the info helps you.Happy find a conversation of this strain because i have tried to know more about it but now it's an unknown strain. Dubi.
