Ok Germinated them around the 20th of June. I have four plants side by side. The tallest is almost 3ft while the others are around 1.5 to 2 ft tall. It's been about 5-6 weeks since I put them in the ground outside. I've been watering them about 4-5 times a week, using a full bucket of water. Lately it's been real dry lately and getting around 90-100 degrees.

I would say it is probably a 5 gallon bucket. Is this too much or not enough?

I am going away to college at the end of August. What should I do? Will they be flowering by then? Could I just leave them for a month, w/o attending them?

I still cannot see any signs of male or female. Is this normal? There are little tiny spikes kind of at the base of each branch on all the plants.

I have been feeding them Miracid every two weeks. Which is plant food that gives proper acidity or somethinig like that. Will this work for food?

Lastly, I'm getting some bugs eating away at the leaves. They are little green leaf hopper things. I also noticed some ants, a spider, and so forth.
They already ate a 3 week old plant in half! How do i get rid of them?

should be plenty especially if you are watering 4 to 5 times a week

depending on where you live, they most likely would be flowering by then. leaving them in the hands of mother nature is a risk, but if you have to leave what can you do

Once again depending on where you live you would be able to determine sex or not. Give it time

I don't know much about Miracid. Post the NPK ratio for further help into this one

There are many products to buy or concoctions to make to get rid of all these pests. Search around GC for the right info

Hope I could help

I'd say they need more than a month to flower but then that also depends on where you live and the hours of sunlight they'll be getting in this time of year.

And then once they begin to flower that's going to be another 7-8weeks to finish and be ready for harvest...

So since you're going away to college I think you just need to set them up to survive the time they're going to be unsupervised. Hopefully nature favors your good karma
For your bug issue, as already mentioned their is tons of stuff out their for outdoor bug control and you're cool now vegging your plants so just get the killer stuff and show no mercy IMO

Other than that you might be overwatering your plants with 4-5 times a week even if it's really hot. favors soil on the drier side and with all that water it could be attracting more bugs than needed.

tha's all for now, good luck in college don't party too hard. homework first and be sure to knock before going back into your dorm room

Dump the fert. your using and go with a more balanced and PH effective nute.Shultz 20-20-20 comes to mind.Watering a 5 gallon pot every other day is to much.My outdoor plants in 115 degree, 7% humidity were fine with every 5 or 6 days.MJ likes dry feet.

I would bet that they would survive being left alone longer if you put them in the ground.

Hey man just take care of it until you have to leave, try coming home from college early-mid October and they should be close to being done.

Also they are called weed for a reason they are not solely dependent on you to thrive, as long as you provide adequate conditions before you leave they will be fine, maybe mulch the ground, and add some water polymer crystals, right before you leave i would apply a time release fertilizer to help feed them somewhat.

MJ's sex, small white pistils will be the signs of female (the orange hairs on nugs), and for the male plants it will look like small grapes, clusters of small balls, Hope that helps a bit, peace.
