Stealth Grow Outdoors?
permalink

(First time posting, been on here for about 2 weeks, just registered )
Well, I decided, that if I could pull it off, I would want to do an out door grow. Does anyone know if the "hiding in plain sight" tactic actually works and would it be possible to hide my plants behind some other ones? If not I'll prolly do an indoor grow (wasnt planning on doing it till the spring/summer but am just sorta thinking ahead)

Any advice would be appreciated

JustBlaze--First off welcome to the garden. I'd suggest starting indoors over this winter, and then if you want, have clones ready for outdoors next summer. I've never seen anybody do the plain site method, but do hear of hidden ones been found many times. Not near all of them, but a few do get thieved usually. The indoor growing will really give you a head start too with outdoor growing. IMO I've been growing indoors now 6 years, and have enough skills that I'd feel I could handle an outdoor grow if the right place was found.

Welcome to the Garden, and hope to see you around.

Happy Planning

There really is no right way to grow, you have to resonate with a style and learn what you can,
tweak it to your own style and raise the bar each grow... OD '07

I used to plant along highways up against the fences. I did have a few pulled by, what I guess were, cops. It was OK though because I always had 8-10 sites and two were enough to last me for a year.

Yeah outdoors intrigues me, i plan to always grow indoors but why not throw some clones outside? I plan to try to grow one up in a tree, been scouting out trees lately figure its easier to find a good spot with all the leaves missing. Once i find it ill mark it and hopefully find it when the time comes around

I always hid my plants never had any snagged. I would always go to the area which I deam to be my "growing area." What I would look for is what parts of this area gets the most direct sunlight throughout the day and where the tallest green plants are. I would love finiding very thick area of green vegetation. By this I would know that usually that area receives decent sunlight and most of the time decent soil depending on the plant. Than I go into the middle of that thick thick vegetation, and make my garden, it can be rough and dirty but ive never had a problem with it, and have had decent yeilds. Hope everything works for you. Keep us all updated
