To your seedlings? or your bigger plant you've had outside for awhile? If you mean the seedling, I think it will set you back more than it will help. No point in fertilizing when the seedling hasn't even used the nutes present in the soil it's in. That'll be burn city. ![]()

by seedling you mean the actual little plant? or the seed itself? I'll wait for probably the first 4 or 5 days after it's finally out of the ground, until I see the 'first 2 real leaves' and then I'll give it some weak fooding is that too early? I guess we'll see...unless someone can tell me for sure that it's no good.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I believe the conventional wisdom is stay away from fertilizer until at least the cotyledons (first rounded leaves) have yellowed and fallen off. That usually happens 2-3 weeks after the seedling has broken the ground. I'd be very careful before that... maybe search the archives, I know I've seen people burn/ stunt seedlings by fertilizing too early.

![]() ![]() ![]() | My friend started a grow IN winter and it got 11/13 lighting, most of which indirect, and he yealded 2 ounces (dry) off of each plant, it is worth it. And btw if you use organics, esp seaweed gels, you can start off right on germination, infact, you can germinate them in it. mI'd be carefull with guano though, I'd start that after the second node to be safe.

![]() | congrats mattdreads, i get nervous til i see em pop. Gotta know if i got my moneys worth... I got 5 Big Bang fems about two weeks old, gonna put them out when they're a month old. Under 210 watts of cfl, wondering if they'll get big enough in that time, I've always used hps. Dammit people, together, we're gonna harvest some pot! Eventually. Brief aside, you guys think a 8 week flowering indica will finish flowering outside in 8 weeks? Or does outside usually take a bit longer? If i pulled two oz a plant this late in the season i would flip. ![]()

Congrats matt on your sprout. I started 5 hollands and 5 Afghan. 90% germ rate using a sealed container and a heating pad. 2 hollands and 3 Afghans have sprouted under 2 105w cfls. I hope mine will be ready to go outdoors the 1st week of sept. Good luck on your grow

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have 4 outdoor monster plants that I took 3 clones from each, 12 clones total. They have been in the ground now for about two weeks and their growth is astounding! Already almost a foot and a half tall, they were only 6 inches when they were planted. All my plants seem to be loving this summer sunshine. I'm putting these clones on a heavy feeding regiment, trying to get these extra girls as big as possible in these last few weeks of veg.Quick question: Why are some of you vegging under CFLs and flowering them outside? The sun is much better for vegging than CFLs. I just thought it curious, that's all. ![]()
