Group thread: late starters look here!

I see a whole lot of people asking questions about starting late. I am a firm believer that it's is still completely worth your time to drop something in the ground. it won't be the largest crop ever, but it'll be worth something. if we post here what strains and the method used to grow them this late, I figured we could make it easier to keep track of all this useful information and have a great reference later for people thinking of starting late. Which strains to choose for different climates and situations. I tryed to start this with my hollands hope, but that turned into a grow journal. because I'm a noob.

but I just happen to find two seeds out of a bag of white widow that I bought at the shop today(actually usually pretty shitty, and I did say something about it...). but that's cool, I can start it off. I still do the good ol' wet paper towel. I use an airtight container and I put it in a nice cool place. I'll check it tomorrow to see if anything happens. it can happen over night and it can take a week...I've had both.

or it'll do nothing because the seeds weren't matured, but thats a chance with bagseed. they feel nice and hard and have full colour, so that's promising.

I look forward to seeing how many people decide to go for a late start grow.

happy growing

Hey, well I made sort of a last minute decision to do some late starts today. Got onto the topic of 12/12 from seed grows (which this will basically be) and hey WTF why not?

My current outdoor grow has 3 Blue mystics, 2 Williams wonder, and 1 topped Satori that have been outdoors since early spring. These are doing pretty decently and all but the Satori are beginning to flower. The original plan was to have a lot of Satori and a bit of the others, but due to complications things got switched around.

So here we go! 4 Satori seeds going into the soil today, and 1 more Williams wonder just for fun. I'm going to skip the paper towel and go right into the dirt. There'll be some comparison later on between the full season plants and the late starts which I think will be interesting.

Glad you started this thread mattdreads. So many people ask if it's too late to plant, and what they can expect if they start late. Let's show 'em!

This is a pic of clones put out on August 8 2006. they yeilded probably around 10 grams each. If you are starting seeds today, they arent gonna reach this size by aug 8, and they will probably start to flower really late because they wont be mature enough to flower. Good luck tho! if anything it'll be some good practice for the outdoor game next year.

which is exactly why this thread could be so helpful in the years to come. we'll be able to look back and this and have documentation of what strains did what so we can choose or advise our fellow growing friends, which ones are worth starting late, and which aren't.

thanks everyone for any useful input!
