![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Let me start by saying I've never personally made a guerilla irrigation system myself... but if I were to do it I'd use irrigation tubing like in the link you posted and a battery operated timer. I'm sure there would be variation in the flow at different points, so you'd want an adjustable on off valve at each exit point so that flow could be manually adjusted. There aren't any good threads I know of on this site about irrigation... check out this one over at IC it has some pretty good ideas International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - The Guerrilla irrigation thread: Automatic systems, selfwatering planters and more! I'm considering setting one up next year as well... water is definitely my limiting factor this year. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | my idea is to take a 30 gal drum.... weld 3/4 nipple at bottom and put a controller like this one... The Drip Store - irrigation timer, battery operated timer, battery operated sprinkler timer, dc timer, water timer, ac, dc, battery operated, drip irrigation, weather sesnor, weather station then run the drip hose around the plants.... i have a 30 gal pesticide tank on the quad..... I think it will work..... Maybe ill start a diy thread...

![]() ![]() | im running a 100 plant gurrila irrigation system i allso own an irrigation company and know all there is to know about it. first you wanna calculate what flow rate your gonna need say you got 100 plants with 25 GPH a head thats 2500 GPH you cut that in half by doing it on 2 timers so now you got 50 plants per timer. so that 1250 gph now you can get that with around 10 feet of drop with a 1 inch poly or PVC pipe (poly the animals tend to like to bit it BIG TIME) so you start at your res (or creek for me) you run your line under or above ground. to 10 feet or so away from your spot you put a 1"x3/4"x3/4" tee and run one of what im gonna explane off each end. first you wanna go to a micro filter to prevent your heads from cloging from the grit in your water you then run to a time i use a brand called Orbit i picked it up at home depot. its batterie opperated and lets you set when you wanna water how often what time and how long for around 50$ then you run off that 3/4 poly you use 1 speggtie hose for each plant you use a barbed conector to run from the 3/4 to the spegttie hose tubing to your head you can chose the GPH of head you want when you buy them. you run one of these to each plant and there you go come up htere once a week to clean the filter (or more if you gotta top up the res) i allso got a 50 plant sector where i drive my truck with a 400 gallon tank and i got a 500' hose to run to basicly the same thing just without the timer. if you do use a creek you can still fertilize by useing a golf greens or marical grow hose chemical sprayer and you put that inline with your hose and just add chems and it evenly uses mixing around 20/1 with the water. but hey tell me your info how many and how much drop you got and how big of a res your doing unless your useing the 30gal cause you could put a 100 gal drum in a tree tarp it and then do 3 runs with your q-ball and now have to do water anymore for a week or so depending on how many plants and how hot shes gonna be. but that my hope you learn something PS i got a HUGE problem with animals punchering my 300' of 1" poly at the higher point than my suction point so then it drians the line and i gotta do it all over again...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | first off here ya go.... that was a good post.... My op is waaaayyy smaller I have no acess to a water supply.... Let me pick your brain cause your in the business..... a single gph head will deliver a gallon per hour... Why do want to give em more than that.... is the rate of flow so slow that your not saturating the soil just barely feeding it? What size res. would you recomend for 5-8 plants.... and what rate of flow should i set it up for? I water 3 times a week... 1 gal each plant... plus rain when we get it..... I have one 5 plant patch..... I have to carry 5 gal. about 2 miles uphill... bothways.... I just bought a new honda forman rubicon and i am ordering a 30 gal tank for the back..... thats where i'm at... here is where i wanna be...I wanna do 10 spots next year now i don't have to hump the water... I have acess to 55, 35, 30 gal barrels... I used to grow hydro so my wheels are turning..... I'm thinking 30-55 gal res. per 5-8 plants .... I cannot bring anything bigger than a 55 gal. .... its very remote... Sorry for all the questions but you seem to know alot more than me about this...... THANKX Safe Growin'

![]() ![]() | if i where you i would first off get a empty 50 gallon drum screw it to a tree about 5 feet off the ground. then get either a eletric pump or hand pump and empty the 2nd 50gallon drum on your quad to the 50 gallon drum in the tree do this use 1/2 inch poly and run it to just befor your plants put a filter then to a timer and then to some heads. what ever the GPH is dosent matter just means less or more time you gotta keep it on ide go for a 20 GPH head then start by haveing the timer run for 15 mins every 3 days and just toon it to fit your need longer it takes to dry out loger you put the intervolse between watering if if gets to saturated drop the watering time but you got 2 options for res placement you can either put it up a hill 10 vertical feet above your plants so you could just drain the tank on your quad to the res or put it in a tree if getting 10' of vertical height is tomuch. dont go farther than 100' away from your plot to get 10' of height. first tell me if you can get the 10' of vert or if not than you gotta do a tree when doing trees in the past i used a 12v opti batterie with a 2500w inverter and a 1/2 inline pump to pump the water into the tree. if you got any more questions just pop em

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I cannot hang a 55 gal. drum 5 ft. up...... Maybe two foot... I am a welder so i can make a stand Its kind of open with not many trees around to hold up the wieght. Why do you want it elevated for the pressure? Does it have to be? Will the system you described work with the barrel on the ground? I am hoping to let gravity do alot of the work for me..... What would you do? thankx a ton man..... here is some life saver for ya.. ![]()
