Leaf tips turning yellow?

Northern lights, 7.5' tall, just starting to flower. Today I noticed about half the leaves are turning yellow at the tips and dieing. This has developed within the past 3 days. I'm extremely worried about my baby and I'm just curious as to what I can do to heal her. I can get pictures tomorrow or the next day if you need them.

This post would get some sound advice if it were posted in the nursery with a picture and the questionaire filled out.

It's normal for plants in flowering to begin to yellow....

There are too many factors to really hazard a guess.... please post in the nursery.

Peace- OD

It's hard to say without a photo, but you're a bit early in flower for it to be a natural yellowing. That and the fact that it's the tips of the leaves would indicate you're over-feeding a bit. (Easy to do this with Miracle Grow.)

How green are the rest of the leaves? If they are a deep green then you're probably looking at a Nitrogen OD.

Get some bloom nutes and lay off the N.

The rest of it is an extremely dark green. Amongst other weeds, it sticks way out color wise. The thing is, this started when she went without miracle grow for about a week.... What would you suggest I start using? The tips are not only turning yellow, but dieing a bit to...

Stop using ferts altogether....
Water her thouroughly, try to flush out the salts in the soil by just water, water, water....

Wait at least a 4-6 days and see what you got. I suspect you are over-feeding her.
If it's raining regularly I doubt that you need to be adding so much water everyday.

Generally it's better for a plant to get a lil dry between waterings.

Good luck to you... and if you can post a pic, go for it.

Peace- OD

ps.. thanks XYZ for moving this.

"Extremely dark green"? Yes, it sounds like classic N toxicity. I'd still like to see a photo but...

MG is a salt-based fert. It can build up in the soil and it sounds like that last feeding was the last straw. I'd give it a lot of water next time you water and resume feeding afterward with bloom ferts.

This is about the worst of it...only about half or less of the leafs are affected by it. I gave her a half gallon of fresh water today and were supposed to get rain tomorrow and the next day. She is in somewhat sandy (but still rich and dark) soil with nothing but sand about a foot down.
