There are a lot of plants out there that will make you itch to varying degrees. I've gotten moderately itchy from mj when brushing the plants during harvest but it goes away after I scrape and lick the residue off my arms and hands.

To tell you the truth, my plants production of amber trichs hasn't been nearly as good as I would like. At best, amber trichs accounted for a measly 5%-10% of the total. I mean seeing even a single amber trich pop up was a cause for celebration. They clouded over right on schedule and stayed that way for weeks. I'm letting the bottom quarter of some of my plants grow to see if there might be some further trich maturation, but I have my doubts that any further development will take place, at least not at this late stage of the season/sun cycle. My best guess is that the climate that I grow in may have been a major factor. Besides the normal fog and overcast June gloom days, we had a two straight weeks of cool, hazy days going into the peak period.

I made an error at the beginning of the season that didn't help matters either. I started w/ clones indoors and was too eager to push them outside when the days began warming up. The plants started flowering on me and I had to cut away the buds to turn them. They went back to the healthy, vegetative state that they were supposed to be in but the gaffe set the clock back by about two weeks- two weeks that would've been nice to have during prime time at tail end of the season. Between that screw up and a wicked caterpillar invasion, I'm surprised that the plants didn't just pull up their stakes and tell me where to stick it.
No put down taken But your post makes me

Peace back 'atcha, OD. Because "Outdoor Growing Observations" is such a broad topic, I confess that I'm at a loss as to where the thread went off topic And, of course, here I am straying away from the topic. I guess I shouldn't be making this post. Hmm... But what do I know? I'm a new guy on the block and...oops! yer the thread starter.

GanjaGardner, I think your posts are on topic....
There are several posts in this thread that are exactly what I was hoping to get.
Not a lot of banter or questions back and forth, not really a discussion topic... but more a sharing of observations you've made over a few outdoor grows or between your indoor
and your outdoor grow...

Don't get me wrong, I'm interested to hear about all kinds of outdoor growing experiences but if you have a topic for discussion, let's start a new thread and discuss it there.

If this thread takes on a life of it's own, so be it.
When I'm searching for information on a topic it's great to find a really informative
thread without a lot of unrelated stuff in it, that's what I was aiming for.

I mean no offense to anyone...

Peace- OD

Right on brother. Wise words. I completely agree w/ your perspective. This has been a very informative and interesting thread and I'd hate to see idle chat, (including my own), take it off course and dilute it. Thanks for the reminder and clarification.
