![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | With the great weather we're having I when golfing and found a spot that's decent. It's south facing and in the middle of a briar patch. I started a little maintenence in the area. May the weeds grow tall and strong. Nearer the tee than the green. If someone shanks a ball into the area and then looks for it, they need to stop golfing. It's supposed to rain this weekend, but I am leaving Sunday to go check out a couple of other places a few hours from here. One is a rive front property and the other in a clearing up deep in the woods.

Hi Folks... I'm happy to see this thread already started. ![]() My outdoor grow is what one might call suburban stealth... a few plants among the tomatoes. In the past i've had serious wildlife issues, such that a guerilla grow is not worth the effort. A few years back I tried it and the deer got every last plant within just a few weeks. Last year I got serious with a deer fence around my veggie garden only to discover that ground hogs have a passion for herbs as well. Thank goodness for clones because I had to replant everything… Last year I had several purplicous (a beautiful, but less potent variation of bubblicous), and two large sativas. The purplicous finished fine, but both sativa started to develop mold problems before they finished…so I harvested them early. I’ve seen mention of AK-47 having a pretty good mold resistance, are there other strains with a good track record? I’ve got a few moms to draw from, some seeds either in the vault or being grown now indoors for the first time…so I’m not sure if any would be suitable… My climate is east coast, NYC area suburbs. Moms: Casey Jones - (Sour Diesel pheno and Trainwreak pheno) Satori - (breeder says good mold resistence) Sadhu - (breeder says there are mold issues) – obviously not a good choice Seeds (currently in my vault): G13 x Hashplant (breeder says indoor) – obviously not a good choice Stargazer Superstar (breeder says indoor) – obviously not a good choice White Russian Bubblicous Kalichakra Should i go shopping or are there things here you would try? Any thoughts on the subject of mold resistance would be greatly appreciated. Peace, - eyes88

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I grew the W Russian outdoors in NY last year, I did get mold. Amazingly frost resistant, though, I harvested popcorn that sprouted off the cut plant, after 3 or 4 hard frosts, once in the upper 20s.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm back already. What a difference a few days make. The sky is falling. We've had 5-7 inches of rain and todat I drove way out there to find a place to grow. I found excellent spaces. All facing south and on obstructed. It's also way off the path. I was lost for a while but eventually found my way back to my car. Today I marked the sites with a GPS and with a heavy duty rake removed the bulk of last years leaves, grass, plants and weeks. I'll have to go back next month to rake again and remove in plants in the clearings. The rain was just so wet and I only stayed a few hours. Clearing the sites only took to minutes with the rake which I left in the area. It's old and we have a newer one at home. 4 hours driving round trip 3 hours hiking round trip. And maybe 20 minutes raking. In all I have 3 site that will hold 25-30 plants.
