![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | greenman215.. Those plants look very healthy and should be good producers. You don't necessarily need to start off with big plants to get a big yield. Also certain strains are much bushier and compact but will have great production. As long as you keep those going the way they are, you're in business buddy.. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Don't let the crazy pros on this forum psyche you out with their magic marijuana powers ![]() -random Last edited by random; 06-04-2009 at 01:51 PM..

Hey Folks, After a few years of lurking on this site, finally signed up...hope I can contribute, and I gotta say thanks to all the great info I have weaned in the past from other members. I am an old fart who loves the science and development of gardening, and big on organic...my wife uses for meds, (although not legal), and i am a daily smoker. I am in the Great White North so our seasons are a little short...but have had some great success in my last few grows, and hope to get better results this year with assistance of you all. Last year I only ran 3 varieties, G13, and 2 indica strains....but with only 13 plants we harvested a little over 9 Lbs...so we were happy...lost a lot of weight due to mold. So this years grow.... I had time last winter to enlarge my grow site, clear a few trees for more light, and do some soil prep, but I am luck as I gorw near a swamp and a creek...soils are awesome and do not need a ton of amendments...and the water table is only 4 feet from surface...so plans never or rarely need water. Rather than starting from seed this year one of my buddies set me up with a bunch of clones....gotta say this is sooo much easier as no worry about sexing and I can be sure of the genetics. I have the following strains: Grapefruit, Mango, Amstel Freeze Gold, Amstel Freeze Gold X Mitey Mite, (early flower...hoping!), Rene, (this is an extremely rare strain, wickedly potent and early harvesting), Chocolate Chunk, and 6 different Amstel Freeze crosses...so 12 different varieties and a total of 30 plants. Just got all the girls transplanted last week after our last frost and they are doing well....just added a little bone meal to the soil and a little blood meal for a quick N boost. Last year i used the FF American Pride slow release, (other FF products not available in canada unfortunately) and it worked very well. This year I am using bat guano, a little Alaska fish farms, and American Pride for Veg, and then will probably switch to Earth juice Lineup when they flower, along with some molasses which I have used many times...Some pics attached of last years grow....Good Luck to all on this years grow...hope it is SECURE, and bountiful. A few pics from last years garden attached....will post some of this years shortly![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | greenman i wouldnt be worried about early flowering because of thunderstorms or the moon... your plants look very healthy and you have about two months to go (depending on where abouts you live) before they really start to flower. they can still be huge plants by then.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Kawliga, that isn't luck, those are some beautiful plants that you obviously took very good care of. ![]() I noticed your comment about your seasons being short and would like to recommend Durban Poison. It has a very nice sativa high (I can't say I've ever really felt "tripped out" on it like some people say it does). Not only that but it is very hardy and I have yet to have moldy buds despite the considerable humidity around here. The best part about it however is that it will start flowering very early, and you can get away with flowering it outdoors for less than 3 months. Great for short growing seasons! Lst also works wonders, especially if you don't want a very tall plant. ![]()

Thanks Random, I will check it out...LST is definitely on my books this year, not so much to restrict height, but for better yield and lower growth bud development. I like the fact about moldy buds as this is a big problem for me....come late September early October, humidity can be high as well as potential for frost...this year I am trying to space my plants out a little more and with LST, hope that there is more air circulation to keep out the mold. You note 3 months flowering time for the Durban poison...this for me is too long. I plant late May, first week of June...vegging until late July/early August, and then flowering from August to mid late september...my strains that need to go into October really run the risk of frost/mold...and not only that this is when deer hunting opens and there is a lot more traffic in the bush. I have 4 strains this year that are supposed to be ready by mid august or early september...my fingers are crossed that the yield will be as good as those that flower until Late September... ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Kawliga, the beautiful thing about Durban Poison is that because of the longitude it originates at it flowers starting at about 9 hours darkness. So, even if it does need those 3 months to flower, it doesn't matter because it will begin long before your other plants.
