Not much eye candy but I have my first progress report. I couldnt get them all in one picture but I currently have 16 healthy sprouts. I also threw another handful of cups / sprouts in the bush by one of my fishing spots. I'm not really expecting anything from it but I had extra already germinated seeds that deserved a shot so I gave them one. I"m using bagseeds planted directly outdoors. Paper towel germination and organic potting mix. This is my 7th outdoor grow. Going on number 3 here at GC.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | so, with all the rain we had a few weeks ago, five of my 7 plants didnt make it....i picked bad spots and everything got flooded out...the only thing to make it was the two mothers who happened to be on a slight hill so they didnt get flooded...oh well, live and learn... i took my skunk no 11 and put it out today. ive got a good feeling about this one, and the spot is primo. plus i actually added some good soil and some compost in the hole instead of just planting em in like i did the others...they were the freebie thai x ss from attitude so its not a loss really. im gonna take the seed mom of my strawberry cough, and the original mother of my unknown blueberry, along with a small afghan kush clone and put them out on monday. hopefully i can still get something out of the season...i will no matter what though cause ive got a few autos mixed in with the veggies that should be done about the same time... got a technical question: Is the time when flowering starts the same in every growing zone? If so when is the actual time when they start, late june, or mid july? If not, when is the roundabout time for zones 8-9? thanks...hope everyone is having decent luck so far..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Surfbum, sorry to hear of your losses...mine arent starting out so well either, lost 3 today, stomped by deer...and they are slow to adjust after the transplanting process. Your question on flowering is a good one...I am in Zone 4B, for me, last week of July to first week of August they start to flower, strain dependant of course. There is a thread on growth where I posed a similar question....hope the rest of your plants take hold....hoping mine adjust as well or I can forget about the 1Lb challenge ![]()

Plants are starting to come along a little better now. Not much growth, they are really starving for sunlight mixed in with all the crazy vegetation growing around them. Grass is 2 feet tall, trees, trees that began as weeds 2 weeks ago and are now 6 feet tall... thorns.... and lots of them. In a lot of the pics you see bigger plants among the Mj plants, those are the thorns coming up from the middle of nowhere. I keep cutting them, they keep coming right back. I think once the plants make it to a point where they can poke their heads above everything else, that they will take off real well. Im surprised that many of them are alive. They were tiny sprouts being eaten by bugs and soaked in rain for a while. Some still that way. Have a look. Lots of stretching on any of the taller plants. The polyploid was in a spot totally covered from sun and the whole group is still barely working on 2nd and 3rd sets of leaves. (its the group in picture 6 and you can see the polyploid at the very bottom covered by grass)I transplanted that and the little girl next to it into pots at my friends apartment. I want to veg this out and see how things go. Might start a journal just for the polyploid, so keep watching for that. 1 - Spot from 5/10 2 - Spot from 6/5 3-7 - Various pics from today 6/5 8 - Friends closet, moved two front plants today. polyploid on left. 2 females back on veg after sexing are in the back. Plan on cloning them. They are white rhino x LUI. 6/5 9 - Polyploid up close and personal. 6/5

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Im keeping a few in the yard this year that will be safe and sound. I just like the adventure of having some also in a remote area. It makes it confuseing at times when im talking about losses on one hand but my favorites stayed at home and they will probably outperform what I have in the bush country. I would like it to be even with success in both areas with nice yields at the end of the season. My backup plants will all go out tommorow in the bush to make up for some that got eaten before my taller fencing went up. Bunny fencing didnt stop the deer. Now im set but still apprehensive about some unsexed plants that are taking forever to reveal. The joys of bagseeds I guess.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | good day, all- spent the last weekend putting my baby girls outside. boxes were rebuilt after a bit of selective tree clearing, and new soil/compost mixed in with last year's soil. standard amending was also done (azomite, oyster shell calcium, lots of peruvian seabird guano and worm castings, arctic compost). on this year's menu will be a whole lot of indi pheno bg, cannalope haze, super silver haze, chemdog 4, headband, cali orange, and sativa dom bg. the sat pheno bg is my momma from last year. she'll be going in this coming weekend. last year i ended up with a 7ft, 6lb plant from a 8 inch clone. this year she'll be started at 4ft tall with a 5g rootball. i'd like to see if i can coax her into becoming a 10lb plant. last year at harvest time, it became abundantly clear that we had some abundant clearing to do this season. the nettles cast these hairs which stuck to the buds and looked terrible. this year, we have some funny looking landscapers that will be working 24/7. we've added a few goats to our crew, and they will be doing the clearing around the garden all season. the sun is just under 15hrs a day right now, and the girls are loving it. it looks like it will be another fine year up at arnie's farm. i hope all are doin' well and keeping them in the sun. peace- arnold layne

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thanx aepaepaep. that location is a little slice of heaven as far as living plants are concerned, as long as i keep them watered. the higher levels of calcium, iron, magnesium, and manganese in the well water gives them a boost as well. to us humans, summer up there can be almost unbearable, but to those plants, it's perfect. peace- arnold layne

i love it. those animals eat everything, thistles, nettles, blackberry bushes, poison oak....... as long as their tethers are secure, they're great. i'd hate to see what they'd do to an mj plant, tho.. those goats would be roasted in more ways than one....... ![]() peace- arnold layne
