I dunno about leaving it in the sense of being a dick to the other rabbits, but it will in fact keep other away.

Almost any dead animal (omnivorous) left to rot like that will detour others of its kind.

A carnivore is a little different. As they seem to have no problem scavenging from some of their own but, that rabbit, Id leave him right where he sits (if you can stand the smell)

The other bunnies dont know he died of heat stroke. Only that one of their comrades is piled on top of himself dead in your yard.

They arent that dumb..

Ganjarefermon's comment made me laugh..., things we would LIKE to do right?

I am sure Swordfish you are just being sarcastic with the symbolism of leavin the dead bunny

as you know, of course you should get rid of it....it will do nothing but attract undesirables..

other critters in the food chain will be happy to participate in cleaning it up, perhaps bringing more unwanted guests to your garden.

keep the live trap around though!

How about rabbit stew for dinner

Obviously, this is my first post. Used to be a member of cheaptalk or whatever it was waay back in the day. This also happens to be my first serious grow, as I've finally managed to get a house with a back yard of my own. I'm using bag seed from some particularly good bud I got back in January. Started out with three plants, but on the 4th of July my girlfriend decided to fire up the grill with two seedlings sitting on the trays to either side of it. Pretty stupid of me to put them there I guess. One died, ones still alive but has only grown a couple inches since, it's leaves are all mangled and twisted, doubt it'll make a full recovery but I decided to put it in the ground anyway.

The pictures are of the one healthy plant, located between a wall of bushes and the back of my hot tub. Seems fairly safe. Its about five feet tall and I think its starting to flower. I believe it's a female, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking at. White hair looking things, but they may just be new sets of leaves.Tried to take a picture but its blurry. Also I took a picture of one of the leaves turning brown around the edges, five or six are beginning to.. it started about a week ago. Not sure if that's normal. I haven't been using fertilizer except the miracle grow potting soil I started em out in. Thinking about getting some bloom booster or something pretty soon here.

A glimpse of some outdoor plants. Obviously planted those too close together, but I like the comparison. Shorter one is an unknown purple strain, taller one (5'3") is a mango strain. Other photo is of a strain called "The Church" which is supposed to have some mold resistance.

Good Morning all

Well just a quick post to RANT how shit the weather has been here in Ontario this summer. I thought last years weather sucked but so far this year is much worse.
Since June 1 probably only had 10 or so days of full sun....the rest has been cloudy, rainy and cool, with nitetime temps at 6 to 8 degrees celsius. The forecast is rain and thunderstorms for the next 10 days...maybe a few days of partial sun. Spring started like hell too....wet,wet,wet. Actually had to light a fire in the boiler yeserday to warm up the floors....can you imagine burning wood for heat, in late July
I live on a lake, and the water temperature hasn't made it to 70 F yet....my kids havent even gone in swimming yet.
Makes me nervous as to what the outcome of this years grow will be. Lost close to a third of my harvest last year due to mold before the girls were ripe....

My girls just flourished when we had a 4 day stretch of sun, close to doubling in girth and height.
All this rain is going to bring out the slugs again, and all the other critters that live in the swamp near to my grow which just add to the lack of development in growth. Thank God that MJ is such an easy, tolerant and resilient plant to grow...
Another 2 or 3 days of rain, and we will have to dig up all our potatoes out of the garden, which is at least a month early, or they will all rot....just like last year.

Us outdoor growers have enough issues to deal with, what with stealth grows, worrying that someone may find the garden, LEO, helicopters, time and investment in nutes and maintenance etc...etc...it would sure be nice to rely on some decent weather.

Only 600am here but think I am going to twist up a nice blackhash reefer to have with my coffee and calm me down a bit

Heres hoping that you other outdoor growers on the site are enjoying better weather than we are here. Have a great day

K.

I enjoyed your pictures very much but didn't care for the pic of the dead bunny.

Cannaculture, welcome and yur plants look fine to me. It doesn't look like anything to worry too much about

healington,....nice tress...isn't the church from grreenhouse? Nice grow. as are treadwells kawl's and the rest of you.
Its inspiring to see everyone else's grow but I have to agree with kawliga in that the weather here in Ontario this summer isn't the greatest. It has been fairly cold and damp for the longest time which is unusual for ontario this time of year. Yeahhhh .....whats wif that???

anyway thanks fort the updates and I will add mine shortly. still have to finishoff my strin reviews to my journal also.

OK, sorry if I offended anyone out there with the dead bunny. Im hoping that this stuffed guard dog will help along with the necessary precautions of reinforcing all areas where the rabbits are accustomed to entering my yard. I think I got it licked and dead rabbits are a thing of the past.
