My garden is starting to look like a garden! I'm starting a round of late LST in hope of a last minute stretch. This kush is the bushiest strain I've ever dealt with and I'm praying they get a little light in the interior. I started this morning but the heat prevented me from finishing so maybe tonight...Any ways, my goal is 5-6 lbs for the eight that I have but I think the two smaller need to be transplanted very soon to obtain my goal. Agreements? Objections?

Yes I am a little bit desensitized to the severity of spotting a motherless cub.

Past two summers we've had a problem of not enough sun or high temps.

This year with the record breaking weather I'm finding if I don't water every
second day my plants will wilt. If I leave them for 3 -4 days without water
they will defnitely die.

Hard to keep up!

Almost had a panic attack last night when I saw their wilted condition!

haha.. damn near did the same the other day BC.

Weve had a wildly wet summer but the past couple weeks have been super sunny and much less rainy.

I guess my plants became accustom to the constantly moist conditions (and so did i to be honest) because they went through two days of sun and when i went to check they looked limp!

Not droopy... like.. nearly flatlined..

I RAN back to the house.. imediately filled two five gallon buckets with water and RAN tripping and fumbling the whole way back into the woods.

It must have been rather comical for my sister to watch, but i was thinking the worst.

THey bounced back just fine after a few hours of soaking up the water, but it reinforced my need to pay attention to these warmer and drier conditions, which my plants dont seem used to this year.

Shrubz ya. Do i know you ? Your yard looks awfully familiar.

Am well protected.

Here's a new-be question, Are the days still to long in the southwest for bagseed sativa strains to not be exhibiting their sex?, since they were started in April one would think by now one would know for sure. Maybe im missing something. Some are showing very small preflowers but others of the same age are showing nothing.
Is there another formula besides covering the plant a few hours early? Also I am studying the new growth carefully and the internode area has secondary growth starting at a higher rate but nothing between the nodes.
I heard somewhere that there are other ways to distingquish male plants by their growth patterns? Maybe the lack of smell when you rub their stalks?

Not sure about the situation in the southwest swordfish but from what i can tell sativas are just slow with showing sex outdoors.

Ive usually ended up with what are mostly Indica plants and the ones i have this year are without any doubt much more sativa dominant. If not almost all sativa.

They are all showing preflowers now, but i would have expected that theyd be at the point they are currently about 3 weeks ago.

Anything else ive grown has shown sex a notable amount sooner than these.

Just a shot in the dark but im going to assume that, Yes, the longer days seem to keep sativas in limbo and undecided on whether to bloom or not.
