![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | afterthought.... maybe taking clones is just not something I need to do... or maybe taking way fewer since my success rate is so high... I'm supposed to be trying to have less plants... Peace- OD

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | so i was trekking through the woods behind aunts house, and came across a great plot of land. the area is surrounded by a lake on one side and a large creek on two others. there is really only one area to get to it, which gives me some sense of security. my lil cousin is about 16 and made a small bonfire spot back there where he goes and smokes pot so he doesnt get caught... other than that it gets almost zilch as far as traffic goes...none of the other neighbors have kids, and the only way to get back into that area is through from backyards so that makes me feel a lil safer. theres a few spots back there that have thick patches of palm frons that stand over head high. other than that its just vines and brush, with alot of very tall pine trees. the canopy isnt very covered and i think in the middle of summer it should get some great sunshine. the way the sun will come over the spot it will get light from about an hour after daybreak till right before dusk so that should be nice. i think ive got the ph problem i was having with my thais down pat, the color is starting to come back and theyre not looking so veigny. thats what i will probably take and put out there. take about 5 of them and put em in various spots in the vicinity. what im plannin on doin with whatever plants i decide to put out there, is put them in growbags and cover the top with black plastic mulch and leaves on top of that. that way i can semi control the soil and dont have to till a bunch. i think i am going to try and set up some sort of makeshift drip system for them so i only gotta come check about once a week. what i want to do is maybe take a 5gallon bucket and set it a few feet away from each plant covered in foliage and hidden. from that ill run a drip line over to the plant and up under the plastic mulch. my ?? is, if i fill it and just let it drip throughout the week, what should i do about nutes? should i put in a nute solution every refill, or should i run one week of clean h20 every few weeks? being on a drip system, if i set the drip speed right, it shouldnt overwater them right? i dont have any experience with that, and thats the best choice for my situation i think is something along those lines....the creek nearby is kinda stagnant and doesnt flow enough to run lines from it to the plants. and i want to be able to control ph and nutes. can anyone shed light on my drip irrigation system and help me out?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'd add half strenght nutes to the bucket every week. if ur gonna be there once a week, thats often enough to just water them when ur there and ditch the drip system.. dont forget you get a little help now and then from rain. I'd also ditch the growbags if its possible for u to plant directly in the ground. trust me, if u put em right in the ground they will grow 100 times bigger and wont dry out when you have a drought. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think this year I am just going to grow outdoors just to keep strains going, not focused for production. My plants got a little too big for my liking last year, so I'm going to keep it small this year. Any guerrilla grow around these parts and the deer will get them, and I don't have a whole lot of money or time to dedicate to trying to keep them away. Still waiting for some snow to melt so I can stake out a tarp in my backyard, going to expand my veggie garden this year, I'm using the tarp to kill the grass. This new bed will be dedicated to my tomatoes, they need to be in a less secluded spot. Going to be starting my veggies for the summer soon, gotta start the peppers first. They need more time and hotter weather to produce good, so they need to be mature by mid-late July. Then eggplants, then tomatoes, then the last group will contain the fast growing veggies: cucumbers, squash, zucchini, and pickles. Last year the strawberries took over the bed they were in, so I should have an excellent crop of strawberries this year. We are going to purchase some more veggie seeds today, so the list will only grow.

![]() | OK it's been awhile since i've posted here and I must say I've been missing out. I've got big plans for outdoors this season and I was wondering when is the best time to plant for me. I'm located in NC Happy growing for all and I hope this is a wonderful growing season for all my fellow growers.
