![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I recently purchased some corrugated polycabonate sheets called SUNTUF at the Home Depot. They are 8ft by 26 inches and can be arranged over a framework you can construct. The cost is less than $20 a sheet so just build your frame out of 2+4's. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This is the best reference i came up with after an hour of searching. Seems to best describe my theories with graphs and comparisons. I still attest to the fact that i could be leading myself in the wrong direction with info Ive found but still, must say to myself "if the green covering were a bad idea why would they make a greenhosue from a film that is in fact green in color?" The ay i understood this was to the effect that light passed through a colored filter will appear darker but not because it is, only because part of the spectrum has been filtered from it. In fact there are still other colors availabel that we arent seeing. It seems to be possible to interperate it in more than one way, as i read it three times. Let me know what YOU think.. http://books.google.com/books?id=KwTzo4GMlewC&pg=PA102&lpg=PA102&dq=green+plastic+changing+light+specturm&source=bl&ots=gayk Px-oHp&sig=TVd4Y44VUgZYtxAvenCnbvDIj2Q&hl=en&ei=-dDaSd-uCJvqlQfFrfiUCA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=6lor" I hate to make things complicated but it appears the copied link wont allow a simple click and direct action. Try copying it yourself and then going to it from there. I thought it was supportive enough to post it. Id like to try to justify my opinion, however "jaded" (punn inteded) it may be.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If there were an available par tof the spectrum that entailed "smokey black" id say that the lgiht would contain no, or little smokey black However, being that the rainbow has no black streak to it im gonna say that its possible you may have just smoked one to many doobies and clouded up your livingroom. Butt the joint and wait for the smoke to clear.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My greenhouse isn't solid green, just the fabric mesh inside the plastic. I'm sure some greenhouses are green to prohibit intense amount of light. Some plants grow well in shaded areas, like under the cannopy of a big green tree.... However, cannabis is not one of those plants that likes the shade.Anyway... back on topic. Swordfish, I might have to just build my own big bad ass greenhouse. ![]() I could easily construct a wedge shaped building with a high end of 8ft, and a low end of 6ft. Using the pannels maybe use about 3-5 for the roof, and a couple on the walls. Just need to find the time. It has been all hell trying to get a good day to myself. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I am doing both this year, beginning in a greenhouse from the store and now getting together the funds to build a shed kit and cover it with the suntuf panels. Ventilation is my big concern also. I have a greenhouse that is similar to the one Rev has but it is a bit smaller, the 40.00 one not the 90.00 one. It got hot as balls in there last year and do not live in a particularly warm area. I plan on vegging in the greenhouse for a bit and then transplanting outdoors or to the sun-shed if/when it is built. Love living in the country!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Im just useing the panels for two of the sides to obscure the views that the neighbors may have. The top and back of my enclosuer has no panels as none are needed to obstruct views. I obtained a few solid colored white panels to aid in this as well. I dont need the heat buildup mid summer either. The quazi greenhouse I have going was initially built for sunflowers. I got tired of the birds destoying my sunflowers every year so I lined everything with chicken wire and bird cloth. There's nothing wrong with three sided enclousers for keeping things stealth in your backyard where neighbors may look over a wall.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Where I am at, I need a roof for later in the year so my greenhouse/shed will probably only be a roof with a row of plastic panels around the top and the bottom left open for ventilation. Heat buildup here over the summer, not so much of a problem
